My dlt20a rifle has special move costs that instantly kill my character. so i was curious what kind of rifles everyone else was using plus the damage they do and their special move costs. .

I think a lot of weaponsmiths (and crafters in general) don't understand the game.

My DLT20a (not sliced, not powered up)

5.3 attack speed, 108-219 damage, 14/29/22 HAM.

The guy who made it wasn't even a master weaponsmith. I can spam it all I want for about 200 HS3 damage in PvP and the mind cost is nothing compared to my horrible T21.

My understanding is that there are optional componets. This rifle doesn't have a stock or a scope (or so I'm told). These things would have raised the damage by a little and the HAM by a lot.

It's my PvP weapon of choice. It's just about my PvE weapon of choice too because my laser rifle and T21 are so costly to use. I've been meaning to have my DLT20a maker check out other rifles, maybe he can make nice versions of some of the others now.

I think the devs messed something up and coverted most rifles to energy damage. I saw a Tusken rifle that was energy and I'm almost sure it used to be kinetic. Made it pointless cause now it's just a DLT20a with crappier stats.

The only problem with the DLT20a is it's AP0. But most people don't wear helmets anyway (because they're no help against AP1-3 weapons and everyone uses those) and there's a bug apparently preventing the T21's AP3 from effecting players that don't wear helmets.

man thats a pretty nice general purpose dlt20a, the costs on mine are 41/51/64 or somethin around there. pretty horrible even wearing no armor, dmg is nice 137-220 (max damage is around that, not precise). i was thinkin of getting a laser rifle but the mind cost is a little high.

Man those are horrible stats on the DLT20a. You need to find a new weaponsmith. The HAM's on them should be in the 20's.

I carry about 5 rifles but truth be told I only use 2... a laser (with a scope!) and a spray. I added a scope, standard, with all points into HAM. Raised all the HAM numbers by 1, but +10 ideal range accuracy and a little extra wound, which I don't care much about. It's just because I hate missing, and 1 mind ham is not really noticable with a laser which eats your mind anyway. Both have been damage sliced and I shove max damage/point blank powerups on them, since I don't have a secondary weapon skill and can't afford to miss any more close shots than I do.

Base scoped laser: 41-405 speed 5.6, 14/28/59 HAM, +32 to hit at 60m. With slice and pup 53-705.

Base spraystick: 16-164 speed 2.0, 13/41/41 HAM. With slice and pup 20-284.

I also haul a Jawa, an SG82 and a DLT20a but I haven't yet found the right targets for them. I imagine the DLT20a is superior in PvP due to the broken armor ratings, but I don't PvP a lot.

(Skills 3/0/1/1, soon to be 3/0/3/2 as soon as I can afford to drop my domestic arts line.)

Oh yah about DLT20a's with crazy HAM, they probably have stocks and scopes on them. A lot of beginning weaponsmiths throw them on because they figure it must make the weapon better. (I know I made a lot of scoped D18 pistols until I figured out why they sucked.) Until you get master experimentation and really good materials, scopes are generally just not worth it, and I have yet to see a weapon stock that was worth the extra damage. Some guys like to put a full damage stock and wound/acc scope on a laser for that first bleed shot, but I shudder to think what theyre doing to their mind bars.

I mostly use HAM lowered weapons, my dlt20 has mind cost 18, laser rifle 40, t-21 59. Sometimes I'll even use a CDEF with 8 mind cost.
