Thread: What Is The Point of Take Cover?

Whats the point of "taking cover" the creatures still see you just as fast as just going prone and it still attracts all BAF-aggro. I notice no "defense bonus". What the hell is it good for and why do we have a whole tree dedicated to it?

it's almost as useful as defense vs. posture change (UP)

with stuff like strafe shot, cover, sneak, conceal shot. It seems like the conceal line was supposed to be more powerful at some point but got nerfed to hell.

Edit: also posture change up. i think at some point they thought it might actually be advantagous for a rifleman to be prone. strange thought but apparently the developers like the idea of somersaulting around while shooting instead
