Yeah I saw the disclaimer, "Gameplay may change."
Yeah I know this is not constructive, but we've tried that to no avail.
If your a rifleman, you know how bad it's gotten. If your a master rifleman, you have some idea, but you probably got through 90% of the grind before we got flushed down the toilet. If your not a rifleman, you have no clue so don't even comment. This is not a "my profession is worse off than your profession" post. You can look at the stats, troll the forums, compare our problems with your own profession, etc, etc, etc, and on and on. I think most players would agree, this was a fun game, and most would agree it was a great game, or at least a great concept. The fact of the matter is being a rifleman is just not ANY fun since the "fixes."
I picked my profession before I even bought the game, and have stuck with it, and will continue to stick with it until I am forced to cancel my account. We all know there are many professions to be fixed, but reading commando's flame about a broken skill tree is just rediculous. Or CH complain about balancing patches. Or BH's about this or that. Come on guys. There are professions out there that can't hang with anything above noob level. And rifleman are one of them. There is no reasonable explination as to why I can get incapped by a mummer thug, short of being AFK. Please do not misunderstand, I am not calling for class nerfs. I strongly believe there has to be a better way to fix and balance things. Rather than take things away from 2 or 3 professions to balance one, bring the broken or weak profession up to par. It just makes more sense to add to one rather than take away from 3.
All the problems have been well documented, and very viable, balanced solutions have been suggested and subsequently ignored.
So here we go again with Sept.'s "in development" notes. They are implementing a fix to one profession and once again screwing rifleman, i.e. knockdown timer, and dizzy posture change. So all any NPC, or PC has to do to negate flurryshot is change posture and woola! no more dizzy. When the Devs make changes to abilities like posture changes and knockdowns what can they be thinking. 1. They know all the professions that such changes will affect. 2. They have to realize that by 'fixing' one class they are gimping several. I just don't get the reasoning behind these changes. It seems only fair or at least consistant with the "balancing" equation that if you are taking away from 3 professions to give to one, you would give something, anything back or additionally to the 3 you took away from. Otherwise it's not balancing at all.
My main point, it is not in anyone's best interest to fix something to the point that it is no longer fun. SWG is a game, that's all. It's main goal is to have fun playing. Please take this into consideration. Short of game crash fixes, stop the hotfixes, and the balance fixes and straighten out the professions. If it takes 2 months, so be it. Just keep us informed of the plan so we can look forward to something. Mine is just one opinion, but it is this. This game is no longer fun to play as a rifleman.

The fact is the Devs DO hate us, they have made that obvious with Krayts no longer dropping above 10 Tissue samples so our NERFED T-21s will never be Krayt modified, along with every other nerf they have done and the stupid SPEED CAP they plan on doing.
Fact is, their opinion I am sure is, Shut Up Rifleman, if you dont like it, Play a Bounty Hunter / Pistoleer / Smuggler like everyone else or be the weakest class in SWG andlike it!
The Developers have found an "answer" for the state of our class. Haven't you heard?
Their solution: Rifle speed will be reduced by a factor of three.
Surely an unplayably bad class will be balanced by cutting its DPS to one third of what it had been!
I wish I were joking. I guess we should enjoy Rifle's "uberness" while it lasts . . . hah . . . ![]()
