I dont do alot of PvP i mainly just hunt creatures. I know the rifle proffecion is broken butI still destroy things. I'm 4/1/3/2 into rifle and my hunting buddy is 4/0/0/2 into rifle and we can kill anything we come across without to much trouble (andyes we are both CH). Last night we were out on dath killing groups of Rancors that we came across. We even killed a fat dark jedi with a 25k ham, with both of us shooting HS2 hitting about 1-1.5k each time we made short work of him (lost a couple of pets). I know mind cost is a killer but like most rifleman we live with it (food, spice, max mind, ect). I guess that I use my rifle more like a cannon than a rifle though. I have read all the posts and think that most of the problems that people have a with the PvP aspect. I do have a DLT20a that has a 9 mind cost with speed slice (crapy dam) so the few PvP battles I do have i just bleed and spam HS3 with no worries.

I got the 450000 exp for the sniper title in like 5 days of good hunts. I dont know if that was fast but i thought that 1/2 million exp would take longer. I am well on my way to master.

I do notice that i miss when ever the creature moves though. If my pet is in there fighting the creature and the creature turns to run or chase the pet i will always miss. I could hit 3-5 times in a row but when it moves i miss.

The only times that i feel realy gimped is when im in a large group 15+. I dont even feel like is worth me being there. Got people always /yelling "attck the same pool!" and a get crap exp (a pistol freind of mine cant believe how much less exp i had gotton than him on hunts, my 680 rifle exp to his 1k+). but I have fun exploring caves and stuff so i use my E11 for the DPS and a pet.

Just thought that I would say I like rifleman and the unhealable mind pool.

I agree...your post is similar to the experiences i go thru. Right now, i solo much of the time on endor or dathomir (Im MCH, master medic, rifleman 0012) and although it gets repetitive at times, i have no problems hunting rancors, mereks, pubams...in fact, hunting mereks on endor give me the most xp. I usually have my 2 graul maulers tanking, but they are only doing like 30-40 points of damage to the merek (cause of resists). this allows me to spam HS2 after MS1&2 withmy 40-500 laser rifle and wipe them out for 4k xp in no time. And about the rifle missing so much...i hardly ever miss. I ALWAYS go prone at around 40-60 meters and since my maulers usually keep the mobs in place, i miss every 1 out of 15-20 shots, even if the mobs move a little. wierd.

Anyway, I was almost a master pistoleer when i made the switch to rifleman...not sure why i switched, but i enjoy playing a class thats a little more challenging and requires some strategy. Im not dissing pistoleers, i just seem to be having more fun being a rifleman...who knows, in a few weeks,i might switch to fencer or something.

FYI being a rifleman has been an easy experience for me (usually 50k-80k xp an hour), mostly because i am a master ch and have tanks taking all the hits. If you seriously want to gain xp in rifleman, become a ch temporarily to get a tank (at least one graul mauler, if not 2), then drop ch (if you want) when you've reached your goal. Happy hunting!

My misses are probably because i dont err.. cant go grone. I warp everytime. My freind can go prone anytime he wants and no warp, even when we are standing right next to each other. go figure
