JEDI:

I rarely group hunt Jedi but when I do find a tough mark I have a buddy that is MBH/MC/Pistol X/4/X/4 and I am MBH/MRM/Pistol X/4/x/4 (but changing to CM 4/X/X/X). I cover and creep until I get set and open up with

/snipershot

/criticalshot

/headshot

/repeat

As I lay on the damage my partner will come in from the opposite direction on his swoop and make the Jedi dance with his Carbs. If the Jedi trys to escape before my buddy apporches I will KD or Root.

This is a succesful combo for us.

PvE:

Many people don't appear to use the /target group member ability but I find it to be a great assest for PvE. If I am grouped with afriend that is a TKM/MSM/Doc 4/X/X/X I let him attack the mob and I go prone 60M out and target my group member. I will hit /snipershot and wait for my friend to regain aggro and repeat. We can wear down a big mob pretty quick. The only thing about this Combo is that we haven't been able to much in close quarters.

PvP:

PvP is too random to have a "best" duo combo. If you have a partner that knows their temp and keeps their cool you might even survive against a 4 or 5 man group.

Well, me and my friend (both rifleman) pve'd quite a bit post-cu, and when we do (especially against bigger things), we just use this

We stand at least 40m of each other and...

Him: ranged shot

Me: ranged shot

Him: placed shot

Me: placed shot

Him: kneedcap

Me: Eyeshot

Him: Headshot

Me: Adv Critical

Him: Snipershot

Me: Snipershot

(continue with adv criticals or heads)

The enemy, with their superb AI, runs back and forth deciding who to hit and, in the end, doesn't hit either.

Now, my friend is grinding jedi while I'm still a bh/rifleman. The only pve aside from grinding that we do now is against those lvl 111 mobs in dantooine that drop some nice loot.

He stays on that island while I find a high spot in the water, at least 30m from the enemy

Me: aim

Him: counts to 3

Me: snipershot

Him: snare

Me: KD

Him: any ranged force power move (don't want him to draw aggro)

Me: advcritical

Him: Spams snares

Me: root, then advcrit/head, then swim around and then back to the island

Him: Uses more damage force powers

Me: Gives the enemy a chase around the island while using advcrit/head, then bursting into the water (bursts in water yay!)

(continues to death)

Me and my brother (MDoc/MPistols) do well together, he buffs, I do most of the dmg with him doing a bit with the DL44 XT he borrowed off of me and keeping us alive. Not the quickest, but with him healing and me hitting, most PvE targest fall without much danger to us.

im rifle/bh and my buddy is smuggler/rifle pre 19 we had it made in the shade with concussion and nukage, but since 19 we have had to change tactics.

before we engage something we will go over a game plan, but if it really goes to poo he feigns and i burst

we have taken out most everything in the game with just the 2 of us and we rarely get hit, altho we have been playing together (i.e. same guild, hunting, etc.) for about a year now, so we are not newbs and can adapt the plan, whatever it may be

so in summation rifle/bh/pistol stuff and rifle/smuggler/pistol stuff works really well in my opinion

best me and a mate have tried was me as M.Rifle/M.BH/4000CM, with a M.Pike/M.Doc.

we alternate between tanking / healing. between us can take everything ingame MOB wise and most pvp giveup when they realise we can both completely out heal even large groups. the damage we put out isn't as high as it perhaps could be but we just take a little longer, why rush!

If by "best" you are referring to most successful, then by far it's 2 people landing a KD and spamming startle and disarm. Seen this done to several very competant 226k jedi's recently and they were helpless. But this won't be viable very soon (thankfully).

I USED TO take Defense Stacker 2....do you?

Yeah gone tomorrow or the next day. So not really a long term good strategy.

having either a master combat medi, or a Master doctor, makes your life so much easier, MCM has nice dots, a liller snare, thyroid rupture is SO nice, and they can heal both of ya at once. if the MCM is melee, they can tank just about anything

0/0/0/4 doc buffs make your dps go through the roof.

My favorite paired up hunting tactic is working with a pistoleer and their root special.

Place the pistoleer 40 meters from the target with you and your rifle 20 meters further out. Hit the target with a conceal shot and then sniper shot. As the creature runs into pistol range the pistoleer roots it. Because I have done the most damage the creature will not aggro on the pistoleer so they get to plug away at point blank range while I lay down damage from outside the creature's melee/ranged attack range.

Good hunting and clear skies.
