Thread: Questions on how to play/Master Rifleman
I would like to know, What is the best gun to use when leveling, what techniques are good to use, where is a good place to hunt, and what boxes should I go up first.
I am a Trandoshan with TKM ( I swear I was TKM before they went FOTM)
Thanks a lot, I am sure this will help many other noobs (to rifleman) out like me.

I suggest that after you reach Novice Rifleman, you get the highest Min/Max(mostly Max) damage T21 you can afford and do Quenker( 2500 exp each quenk)missions on Dantooine. You can do 3 non-aggro shots against a quenker and you want to use whatever you can (I like powerups) to make sure those shots kill it. Migrate your stats to focus on Mind, and rest for a short time after each quenker. Use the highest Headshot you have against them.
I like this method because it allows you to hunt without requiring others, buffs, or armor (you can if you want to).
With the new foods I also like to eat a Crispic (or something that adds to accuracy) so that my first shots are'nt wasted.
Skill-wise, travel up the Sniping line first for the accuracy, then get Concealment 1 for Conceal shot. Next, the counter-sniping tree and finally finish Concealment off. Good Luck! ![]()
Unfortunatly I have no Combat xp stored up ( I just made TKM)
I think I'll screw around with TKM for a while before going Rifleman. I guess my 7.2 speed 224-600 T 21 will just have to wait!
I'm going to go out on a limb and recommend something a little different regarding guns. The HAM costs on a T-21, and the fact that you're going to be slow for quite awhile, make it difficult to use effectively. You may want to run your savage quenker missions with a less encumbering E11 or laser till you're fully migrated and a little faster.
That said, if you're getting a mind buff and constantly eating your food before you go hunting, the T21 will do more damage in the end.
As far as what boxes to fill first, I recommend concealment 1 first for conceal shot (invaluable in working larger mobs down to a level you can kill), then all of sniping for the accuracy, counter-sniping next, then finish off conceal till master.
It's a long road to master, but no matter what they do to us it'll be a great profession.

I respectfully disagree with RevRushes box-levelling suggestion -
imo, start with xx3x - after you get flushing2 there's no stopping you. the xp comes in by the truck load, especially since you have TKM defenses and you fear no mob.
xx3x
then 4x3x (you have no use for concealshot since you have TKM defenses/melee skills)
then 443x and master. that's the way i'd do it, hopefully you have the full 300k combat xp stored up and you can spend it all on rifle speed right off the hop! ![]()
keep a laser rifle, a jawa, and a T21. the E11 is nice too, with it's light-cost Medium armor piercing. (just watch the mob 'cause it's energy dmg, check the vulnerabilities, always!)
speed sliced laser rifle might be a good bet for levelling to novice. i'd say speed slice and speed/mind powerup your weapons -, switch them all for dmg slices/powerups when you're master. maybe get one max dmg t21 for bleeds though.
buy the new Brandy by the crate! you can pop two at a time, and hopefully your server has good stuff available (i have +389 or something , x2 at a time
for 44 minutes. this'll keep your mind going forever pve.
keep a muon gold handy for emergency situations. Since your TKM, i would try leveling Ewoks... might work out okay.
or else the usual pikets/quenkers, and what not. Baznitches are good once you get flushingshot2, as well.
there are all sorts of tips/tricks once you're master and pvp'ing, but that's another topic.
