I would keep MCH with Rifleman, then you'll have a pet to tank as you shoot.

Pets suck in PvP. And I only recently started CH so, I didn't have the benefit being able to double my xp by having two pets out at one time. Mine was a long, slow crawl to the top and when I get there, there will be no reward for my time and sacrifice. If I go through that again, I will leave this game. And I don't want to leave. That is why I am trying to do my homework now and find a profession thats players feel they have not wasted their time. All of this is of course subject to the next patch though so... who knows
dont let those blowhards on the CH forum get to ya. most of em are still whining about not having 3 rancors at once...
CH is a very good profession. i post over on that forum trying to help the new folk to the profession before they are corrupted by the "I-Win" button crowd. CH is very powerful with the right skills to combine with it and rifle is just such a skill. a lot of them think that they should be wandering around with a ancient bull rancor pwning ancient krayts on tattoine by spamming "A".
welcome to Rifles and the best forum in the galaxies.

Heh, the Rifleman forum is a good bunch.
But if you want a profession that takes it in the ass and always has a witty retort, check the Pikeman forum.

don't get down on MCH, its not for nothing... i've been MR/MCH for a few patches now... i see you're reb so once you master both go find an AT-ST or juvy kryte... now thats FUN
...
pets are lacking for PvP right now, but if they fix the special attacks on them it'll once again e a viable combo for PvP...

Hello,
I am currently a CH/commando. I am pretty good in PvE but, basically useless in PvP. I want to take part in the GCW and start fighting other players and having a chance at winning occasionaly so, I started reading the ranged weapon specailist boards.
I like carbines so, I went there first. Every other post was talking about how bad is sucked to be carbiner. No thanks!
Then I went over to pistols. Some guy there says pistoleers get owned by rifleman by a pathetic margin. More crying
I came over here and I really don't see any negativity. You guys seem content. THAT is what I want. I don't want to be a l33t dood running around and griefing everyone with my uberness. I just want to work on a ranged combat profession that is well thought out, working and rewarding... is rifleman my new job?
Thanks for your time!

Exact reason I dropped bounty hunter and became a rifleman.
These folks here weren't complaining about anything, so I figured, might as well give this a shot, these people seem to be having fun.

well righ now Rifleman is FOTM... we don't cry alot cause our profession actully works...
carbines on the other hand have about 3 working special attacks...
pistols also work and are great if stacked with smuggler... but overall they don't deal alot of damage...
rifleman/CH is a great combo for PvE also... its probably the best way to level up to master...
but rifles really need to be mastered to be effective, unlike dabbleing pistols trickshot line or commando flamethrower...
have fun with whatever you chose...

They don't cry because they don't have anything to cry about. They own everything else in PvP right now.
