I am mastering Rifle for the second time after taking some time to play and explore other professions (non-holo inspired, just bored). I am already a master doc but was looking at possibly dropping the ranged support branch under marksman and picking up brawler.
My questions... how important is it for a Rifleman in PvP to have the Ranged Support branch? Would the ability to use Warcry or Intimidate offset the loss of the extra few points of ranged aiming?
I'm sure someone out there has played with it, your thoughts? Or is there a better alternative to use those last few remaining skill points?

if you have master rifles/doc then dont worry about the marxman line, you hit so fast that accuracy isnt much of an issue except in very heated pvp. i use my pts to alternate between brawler(pvp warcry/intimidate) and artisan(harvester locations) and scout(creature harvesting). scout and artisan are good for gettin what we docs need and other then that all i do is pvp. bonus is it only costs 100 creds each time you need to shift. so even if you need to shift ur profession 3x a day its no big deal. hope this is what you were lookin for as far as info.

The support line is only good for supression fire (posture down attack.) I have a macro that uses flurry/supression fire which dizzies the target than forces the target to kneel. It works fairly good in PvP if you ever get it to work. Most professions have good defense against posture changes, so it's not too great. I would suggest going for novice brawler for warcry/intimidate. Scout for harvesting and camps is good also.

Thanks both. That was what I was thinking and what I was hoping to hear. Time to play
