I am curious to know, if you have to master two elite professions to become level 80 in the game or can you master one elite profession and a non elite profession and spread your points elsewhere and still obtain level 80 ?

I was thinking

master marksman

master rifleman

some of the carbine trees, novice medic, and pistols 0004, and putting some of my left over points in scout. but would that get me to level 80 ?

or do i need to go

master marksman

master rifleman

master carbines

and pistols 0004 ?

I think you have to master 2 elites,but I'm not 100% on that

This came up a couple days ago in the General Game Discussion forum...from what I've read your combat level is based on how many experience points you spend to get to where you are. That combo that you mentioned could get you to level 80, but until someone figures it out for sure, or the formula, theres no way to know for sure unless you do it.

Yep you don't need to dual elitemaster, I had like Rifleman 4-3-4-4 and Master Ranger and was a CL80

Im currently Mrifle/Mmarks/0430Carb/4424 pistol and hit level 80

still grinding up to Mpistol to finish template - you might be able to get it with nov medic and several completed trees in a couple profs with master rifle

ImM marksman, MRifle,Bh 0400, pistols 0430, and carbs 0340,as close as i can remember off the top of my head, and im only lvl 77

nope - as stated before you can reach it without 2 full elites but your xp total had better be nearby.

MRM + Ranger 4434 will make cl 80. The formula is complex and not well understood yet.

I was MRifles/Ranger 4/4/3/4 tonite when I started and that was CL 75. Got CL 80 when I hit Master Ranger.

hmm wierd I wonder of the fs skills the other person had bumped him up to the CL 80 level... Like I said the formula is not well understood.

The opposite with No FS skills makes you a level 80

i'm Master Rifleman, Creature Handler 2323, medic 0400 (working on CM)

I am currently CL65 with only 23 (I think) Skill points remaining

Will I be CL80 when I get Master Creature Handler or use all my sps I have left in CM?

2 combat elites always = cl 80
