Most people still think that the old way still holds true or that there are speacial things that happen. There are not any speacials like the old days. Body shot does not bleed. Leg shot does not slow down or hit action pool. Mind shot does not hit the mind or cause any blind, dizzy, or stun.

The purpose of these speacials is actually very simple. It is to hit armor holes. You find someone with cyber arms hit that body shot. No helmet hit the head. No leg armor hit the legs. What this does is allow you to target the weak areas. The shots you normally do are determined by an algorithym as to where they will hit. But if say you hit someone without a helmet with a head shot they will take full damage every shot with no armor to take down any of the damage. This can put someone in a hurt locker quick fast and in a hurry. You see two cyber arms you will get through 4 out of 5 shots. One Cyber arm you will get through on average about 2 out of 5 maybe three. Improved shots of this type increases the full damage the shot will do. Just remember that you do have a negative accuracy mod that is applied. If you beat thier defence bonus you will do even more damage.

I hope that this has helped to clear up the purpose of these shots as I have seen many people wondering exactly what they do. It is also in our guide that the use for these are unknown. I got this information from a post I found by one of the Devs. I wish I would have thought to grab the post location but unfortunately I did not.

eh, to get your facts straight as well.. leg shot never 'slowed down', mind shot never 'dizzyd/.. it didnt even do any real dmg. it was a bleed'. and guess what.. body shot never was a bleed

these specials still serve the same function they did in the old system, apart from the pooled aimed fact. only I dont think you play long enough to remember the time when not everyone had full protection

Excuse me for not getting everything 100% right after being gone for about 7 or 8 monthes playing 2 other MMO's and not remembering the old system. But I have seen too many people lately that keep asking what the heck these attacks do and what state they add. I also do remember a time when not everyone ran arround in full armor. Even now I know some that will leave out some armor for looks. Like a riflewoman that runs around in a storm trooper chest forearms and boots. No helmet, legs, or upper arms. So no not everyone is fully armored.

agreed, but I dont really count on my opponnent to not be fully armored in pvp (other then arms) when I fight... if I meet someone without full armor in pvp, it means they are unprepared (who cares about looks when it gives a big penalty in pvp) and dead anyway.

anyway, the aimed specials still serve their old (very old) function
