First of all.. it was closer to 70/30 or 80/20 for changing it to something that helps RIFLEMAN

Im a rifleman/doctor, so how about we switch the +20 melee defence to +20 wound treatment. My friend is a rifleman/ranger, so how about we switch the +20 melee defence to +20 harvest creature? My other friend is a rifleman/pistoleer so HOW ABOUT WE SWITCH THE +20 MELEE DEFENCE WITH +20 PISTOL SPEED?! Do those sound like good ideas you? Why not? They make about as much f*cking sence as giving us a skill that DOESNT help us.

Get a grip on reality. We take THREE TIMES THE MELEE DAMAGE, Ok? If a (high level)NPC melee closes in on us at melee range when we have a rifle: WERE DEAD. If a melee type PCsneaks up on us with a melee weapon: WERE DEAD.If you dont realize these 2 things then you HAVENT BEEN PLAYINGA RIFLEMAN CHARACHTER!
-Rifleman are NOT supposed to engange in melee combat, either in PvP or PvE.
-If you are purposefully engaging in melee combat with a rifle, your a clueless dolt.
-Using a sword in melee doesnt make you a rifleman, it makes you a swordsman.
Those 3 facts should explain the logic behind everything.
Oh, and Aldeon? Just because I think the responce Q gave us was pathetic doesnt mean you need to go off on a completely un-related tangent like "I thought you quit" in the hopes of dodgeing my question. Thats some BS.
As a PA Leader on Wanderhome and as a gun-runner i have alot of people depending on me in-game. While I may have decided that rifleman is getting shafted (and has gotten the shaft from the beginning), the doesnt mean i can just drop out right away.
Im HOPING that by the time I do get my affairs wrapped up you may have made something of the rifleman proffesion. Judging by your "But it helps the SWORDSMAN!" responce i quoted above... it doesnt seem bloody likely.

I cant see how even SOE would be stupid enough to make it so we can see the AP damage of our guns.. and then not fix the T-21 in the same patch.
Then again.. with our rifles doing an attack at master rifleman that a FLAMETHROWER should be doing... it woudnt suprise me.

I'm chasing 2-handed melee, my vibro-axe does more mind damage with 2-handed Headhit1 than my DLT20a does with Headshot2 (Scylla like others haslacked the resources to make Laser Rifles and T21's, I think they have very recently become available). Mainly because I need the melee defence and to counter the Rifleperson's damage multiplier.
I would gladly swap the area-effect attack for conceal/cover that worked against players: we could then be accurately described as snipers. Unlike Pistoleers, at the moment we are more like Carabineers. Need a group.
All I can do is laugh at this, becuase you cry everyday rifle is pathetic. Are you a Master Riflemam? If you are, you would know despite knockdown, we are one of the number one classes out there. Bounty Hunter beating us? Give me a break, they do 170 damage to me, come on, be smart. Just becuase you dont liek Strafe Shot 2 doesnt mean you cant use it. I do 600 damage with it, with a DLT20a. In 2-6 seconds I incap people. Of course we cant solo, becuase of no knockdown, and it still bieng spammable. Get over it SOE is atleast trying to stop it, even though it seems like they dont play the game at all.
Not to mention Strafe Shot 2 is AoE, I hit 10 people at once today for 500-600 damage. Half the Rifleman I know, have gotten swordsmen, why? Becuase it does Mind damage, and in PvE they can switch to it when things get rough. You know what, those people enjoy the +20 melee defense, you cant ignore half the rifleman out there just becuase you want it to be something else.
It honestly sound like you just want to be the best out there, if thats so go play a pistoleer/BH. Im tired of getting bull **edit** from you, you cry all the time Rifle is **edit**, 75 percent of or stuff is broken. Face it, its NOT, your just not number 1 so you want to cry. Learn to play your class, I PvE, and I own it, I PvP and I own it. Why? Becuase I know how to play. They are trying to get people to group, not solo, if you want to solo every **edit**er out there go get a AT-ST.
Your really sad, and Im tired of comnig to these forums, to only here you crying about the class and everyone else bieng more powerful then us. Ill give you it, pistol is better then us, yeah, but if you play it right we can beat a pistol. Stop going out there and soloing thinking that is PvP, becuase its not. Today I PvPed for 4 hours with my guild 8 of us, took on over 30 rebels at once. You know why? Becuase we all used our abilities to assist each other.
You cry about the T21, you cry about block, you cry about every **edit**ing thing. The Game is buggy get over it. There are alot worst bugs then ours. Yes the T21 is a major bug, but you know what, no one had a T21 the first week.
You know whats funny, last ditch hitting for 2k dmg? **edit** where you looking at, yeah its donig good damage, but its only around 500-600. You know what, My DLT20a does that much damage. Yeah they get a knockdown, okay, maybe you should pare up with another rifleman.
Im tired of you **edit**ing crying everyday, no one needs to here it. I only report it, I dont get it fixed stop blaming me. Its just sad when people think we suck, when we really dont.
Half these people arent Master Rifleman, thats why they think we suck, but you are. Or atleast I think you are. A master Rifleman doesnt suck, and right now the T21 bugged doenst even matter. Becuase when you shoot un-armored people it acts as AR0, every weapon does. And you know how many people wear no armor? Near everybody. There are the occasional few who were composite, but not everyone wears it, and alot less people will be wearing it now.
Learn to play the game is all I have to say to you, becuase you obviously dont know how. At Master Rifleman, we are one of the more powerful classes, while others may have better stuff, combine yourself with the right people and you will win.
I can solo'd 30 Rebel NPCs in the base near Bestine in under 3 minutes, with the knockdown nerf, a Master Pistoleer cant even do that, so give me a break. Go play the game and stop crying on the forums.

Tek, I tested that today with our Master Pistoleer/Master bounty hunter. Remember there was a 75 percent damage nerf? He shot me 15 times total, all of them under 200 damage. Not one over it.
Tek Im going to qoute another rifleman here from a different thread.
"And to whoever said pistols still outdamage rifles at master, how would that be possible? Pistols get weapons with a max damage of 250 something tops, rifles go over 600.. when you shoot them at the same speed, by what logic would the pistol outdamage the rifle?"
I believe aldeon has done a lot of PvP, he is on Starsider, on the PA fatalis they are all about PvP and darn good at it too. More than anyother PA in starsider IMO. (I just wish theymove to bloodfin werethey can find more pvp'rs but thats just me)

Of COURSE at Master Rifleman we do more DPS than they do. But heres 2 points you need to remember:
1. Most of the people your representing ARENT master rifleman (we have only 1 on wanderhome).
2. I dont give a SH!T how much DPS you can do because unless you can kill a pistoleer/carbineer/BH/smuggler in ONE hit your DEAD because ALL they need to do is hit you with knockdown.
This is just yet another way you go off topic trying to make my arguments look stupid. I call it the "Bill Clinton" approach. Why dont you try reading my posts and answering them instead of imagining something and responding to it.
I saw Aldeon PVEing today he speaks the truth... He was fighting rebels and hitting them anywhere from 1400 to 1600... with a DLT20a no less! But I do agree with you, what's the point of having a bonus to something if it does nothing for us in ANY circumstance.
