Hunt Torturs on Talus for 3k apiece grouped. Just bleed them with Mindshot1, then spam Headshot2's at him till he gets close. At that time, use Warningshot and then hit the Peace button to send him running away. Follow him and wait for him to bleed to death. If he runs back at you, Warningshot him again.

I do basically the same thing, and I am 1/3 the way up the rifle tree.

Sounds like a fairly good idea. I'm in the same boat, just made novice and wanting to step up from the small critters.

Best way climb the massive rifleman xp ladder is to go out in a group with one good TK and one medic. Medic stays behind TK. healing him when needed,you place yourself on a raised area prior to attack and wait for the TK to pull and tank. You get tonnes of xp and so do the other lot as you both have different primary attack pools (TK health+action mostly, snipers mind). Also to note its a great way for a medic to train up fast too.

Why hunt toturs if you dont get and XP for the bleed attacks?

You get exp if you bleed them and then shoot them at least ONCE. JUST SHOOT THE TORTUR ONCE!. Geeze. You guys must not know much about bleeds then. You will get exp if you shoot the creature at least once after you bleed it. You will get FULL EXP.

What rifle are you using at the novice lvl, the E11 or the Laser Rifle?

I used a DL20a rifle all the way up to specialist, now I am using an E11.

I see a lot of people running around with a laser rifle, are they better than the E11?

A question on /mindshot1: is it supposed to do dmg to the mind pool?

I have used it once or twice, but when I use it the dmg numbers over the mobs head are in red.

I myself hunt Bolle Bols on Naboo with a Creature Handler/Medic, or Fambaa.

If you are factioned, Rebel/Imperial soldiers work as well.

I pop off the opposite side for about 1300 a pop, I can take them solo, and I all I have is Novice Rifleman now, working up the tree myself.

To answer your question about mindshot1, it bleeds the mindpool. The technical term is "Damage over Time" or DoT.

I use a laser rifle myself. I think the choice varies somewhat based on what galaxy you are in, and what the best weaponsmiths in your specific galaxy are producing at the moment.

I'm on Wanderhome, bought my laser rifle from Beer, it does 20-353 damage, 6.1 speed. I had it sliced for damage by Reavus (I mostly use rifles for that initial punch) and it now does 23 - 420.

i see people hunting all this stuff and getting great exp but most people already half way up the accuarey line. So i was just wonder what everyone was hunting at their novice lvl and what tactics did you use it kill the creatures???

For novice rifleman and the first box of the sniper tree I hunted Feral Banthas, Giant Womp Rats on Tatooine andsnakes on Lok.
