Thread: SWG in danger of losing alot of Rifleman!!!
Hey All
dont know about you guys, but with the lack of response from the devs it seems that alot of us are getting close to calling it quits on the rifleman profession.
We didnt seem to get one fix, not a single fix, with this big patch, so it can only leave you to ask the question
"Why am i playing a rifleman"
I origianlly chose this profession as i thouhgt it would be the most fun, but boy has that idea changed. Im a reasonably possitive person, but at the moment i cant find a single positive about the entire rifleman profession. About the only one i can really think of is the speed bonus we get after collecting over 4 million rifle XP!!!!
What are you guys thinking as welll? Maybe if we can get alot of posts on a topic such as this then SoE might actually realised that not all people are pistoleers and BH's as that seems to be only concern they have and understand that they have alot of dissappointed people out there.
So come on guys, lets get a lot of post here so Alderon can send it off to SOE and say, here guys, you have to do something about this or you gonna lose alot of people!!!
I'm going to be a bit cynical now. I believe it is because....
A. There are fewer of us than some of the the other proffesions that got fixes (pistoleers, CH's...)
B. We didn't nag and whine enough to create a scene and get some fixes.
I can see some developers looking over the raw data seeing how many of us there are compared to some other combat proffesion and simply putting us in a lower priority from the others.
omg, that's hilarious, krup

Simply changing the T-21's AP from its bugged value of 0 to the correct value of 3 would have sufficed. But at least every single possible fix to the Rifleman profession was neglected -- so they could improve fishing, and speculate about the viability of adding a 'holster' graphic for the Pistoleers.
My prediction for the next "Big Patch" -- newbie melons will be confiscated completely, Baz Nitches will be given light speed, interplanetary movement and hypercannons, a second animation will be added for vomiting, a new style of rod will be added for fishing enthusiasts, and all rifle weapons will have their durability adjusted to the "correct" Bowcaster value of a hundred. Meanwhile, Pistoleers will be given the ability "Triple Wield", involving creative use of a certain third appendage, and the Head Shot attacks will be replaced for a more balanced "Ear Graze" ability, where an enemy's ear lobe is damaged by a high velocity projectile or singed by the heated carress of a laser.
