Hello all. I just wanted to pass on this little victory story:

****Urgent Communication from Bido McBaine (Soga Mijizi) to Rebellion Leadership***

Imperial Raiders sighted in bestine STOP Civillians under assault STOP Looting and Pillaging Rampart STOP Send reinforcements to assist in the liberation END

***********************************************************************************************

Upon receiving this Notice was put out to select members of the Soga Mijizi Cell to provide assistance. From all parts of the Galaxy our members gathered and begun the Liberation of the Good Citizens of Bestine. The fighting was furious. I Debrad Shehester had taken position at the rear of the Rebel Forces and laying Support Fire.

In the middle of the battle I noticed something moving out of the corner of my eye. Beside Rifleman I am also a Ranger and my senses are finely tuned for sort of thing.Trying to sneak in on our flanks was an Imperial Commando with Flame Thrower armed.

Realising this as the new Primary Danger I broke off my attack fro the main forces and confronted this new foe. She noticed me as well and stood there with a Smug Look on her face. It was just the 2 of us. The main battle faded and became trivial. In fact I could no longer even hear it. It may as well have not been happening. I was a statue of concentration.

"Too many of my kind have been killed by the likes of you" I thought. She still had that smug look of confidence on her face. I was determined not to become another etch on the side of her weapon and to wipe that look of her face.

Time then appeared to move slower than normal. I noticed her running towards me. I fired my first shot. Flushing 2. It hit her square on the head for massive damage. I could tell it was a hard blow becausemore thanhalf her mind bar was destroyed. Determined not to become overconfident I realised that she was running in to use her Flame Thrower.

"Not today sweetheart" I said to myself and stood and started running away from her. I knew that if she got close to me I was going to be the honoured guest at her inpormptu BBQ. I was able to maintain some distance but I had to make the most of the advantage I had. I fired Head shot 2 and it went sailing close by. Close is not a hit so I Fired it again. This time it hit and again I could see the damage. "I only needed about 2 more hits 3 at most" I fired and hit again. This was a great hit and I was certain 1 more would do it.

My entire focus was on my quarry.I rarely hunt other people. I much prefer to hunt creatures. Prey that I can respect. This however was not the case. This enemy was someone who gloried in killing others. This was a person who did not respect their quarry. Therefore they did not deserve my respect. While she was chasing mesomeone from the main battle had seperated and saw us. determined to assist they hit me with knockdown and my legs gave out from under me.I was quick however to get up andthis additional personwas swiftly dealt with by one of my comrades. The danger was now aparent. The commando had closed the distance and I was now within her range. The look of victory spread on her face as she fired. I saw the flame heading in my direction. Being a Twi'LekI was able to leap out of the way just in time. I had one more chance. The was no way I was going to able to play that trick again. I truned my rifle around and snapped of another Headshot2. It landed and it removed the last of her mind and she became incapacitated.

My heart still pounding I walked up to her. I looked around to make sure there were no other uninvited guests. I could hear the battle in the distance but it wasn't close enough to be a threat. As I stood over her body I looked down upon her. She looked so helpless. Almost innocent. I normally do not like to kill something that cannot fight back but I looked into her unconsious eyes. I saw an evil there that belied the rest of her body. I had to act now and try and prevent the evil that she represented.

I then saluted her and delivered the Coup de grace and life left her body. As a hunter I should have been proud of this kill but in the end I had a hollow feeling in my chest. She could have been saved from this evil. I have killed someone that probably didn't deserve to die. As her body faded and I understood she had just recloned I said a silent Prayer for her that she make more use of this life that she did the last.

I then put my sentiments behind me and set back to the main battle to free the people of Bestine from the Imperial Tyranny.

I really liked this story. Maybe you should put it on the roleplaying boards, I'm sure they'd enjoy it.

The commando flame thrower isn't what you have to worry about as its range is only 15m, its the rocket launcher. I've beaten every commando with a flamer thrower, but when a rocket launcher hits you from 64m out and does 4.5k of damage its over before it begins.
