I found a +10 rifle speed AA and had a couple of questions.
If I put it in my chest plate and it the chest plate deteriorates can I get the AA back if I have to replace the armor?
Does it make sense to put AA's in your boots?
Mine don't seem to decay.
Thanks,
Omaplata.
once attached they can not be recovered.

place it in something that does not decay fast. like bicep, bracer or gloves. never put anything in helm or legs they have the shortest life span. i think the gloves will last the longest they only have about 100 condition, buit i have gone through 3 legs and 3 helms on my recon armor and still use the same gloves and they are at about 80 condition now
Good information. Only pre CU boots and gloves have sockets, however, but they do not take hits and do not lose condition from combat. They do decay on death (1 percent of the original condition if insured) so no matter how high the condition is they will wear out in 100 PvE deaths.
Otherwise, biceps seem to be the longest lasting piece.

even tho they wear out they do not provide protection so gloves and boot mods still work

QFE
put your mods on pre-cu gloves and boots and dont ever worry about em again. teh mods work even at 0/100
This is changing once they hit zero condition they will be unwearable at some time in the future
but for now use pre-cu boots if you can get them

Gloves and Feet are the best places to start since they took out had/foot damage as a bone tossed to the Wooks and Dosh who cannot wear footwear or gloves. (still doesnt help if you are wook or a dosh tho)
I dont know if it got fixed, but some packs have sockets for CAs so you may be able to get away with putting some on your pack.
and yes Bracers seem to get damaged the least, just be damn careful when using armor repair kits..things can get ugly in a hurry.
