Hello,

My characters name is Runtiss Kneebreaker on Starsider, and recently I have made the decision to move to rifleman. I currently am a Novice Pistoleer, soon to be Novice Rifleman and Carbineer. I am enjoying the rifle like no other weapon.

I am a relative N00b to rifleman, so what does this talked about nerf mean for me at this stage? How will the role of rifleman change in large group combat? From the posts so far alot of folks will quit

Nobody knows for sure Tiberius. If you enjoy it, stick with it and worry about the nerfs when they come. It probably won't effect you much until you reach master anyway.

It will likely make masters behave or be forced to act like novices (slow) so you won't notice much of a change if you are still leveling up while this hits. But sweat the small stuff. If you enjoy the prof keep at it and things will work out in time.

The reason a lot of people are threatening to quit is because of all we have had to deal with up until this point. You are relatively new so you haven't had to experience the horrors of the first 3 months or so. That was when rifles were almost impossible to level up, it took 2 months for the powergamers, and our profession was cast to the wayside. We were ignored and several other things. Well now we are fixed and things like this nerf is being plotted behind our backs and that is just too much for some people to bear. Honestly this whole game is not that much fun for me anymore either, the space expansion is what I plan on being the deciding factor because, honestly, there is not that much else to look forward to.
