I'll be Master very soon, I can taste it. I was hoping to ask a few questions on the type of shots most favored:

1. Which shot is the best single-target damage?

2. Which shot is the best AoE damage?

3. What combo ofshots would you use to make an uber PVP macro?

Many thanks,

Being Master it's all about strafeshot 2 and headshot3

Not entirely true, unless you are fighting noobs. If you are fighting hardcore PvP'ers, it's very important to use some flushing shots and flurry shots. I'll usually open up fights with flushing shot 2, followed by a flurry shot 2 until I hit a stun and dizzy on the person. Then if they are buffed and armored I'll usually do some headshot 2's, unless they have a stun helmet, then I'll usually stick with flushing, flurry, strafe combo. Of course if they are buffed and healing themselves easily, then it's best to keep plinking away at their stun covered head.

Now if the person isn't a multi-master, then strafe or headshots will work just fine.

With that being said, I can't believe I just gave advice to a Rebel on Valcyn....please ignore everything I said. Your best shot is auto-fire, yeah, stick with auto-firing the spraystick, I slaughter people doing that.

I tend to shy away from HS3 and use 2 instead. For the HAM usage it's a better choice, and leaves you with more options. Damage is not that much different.

Even on a single opponent, a stun will lower defences a bit. If it's humanoid, the dizzy will induce a KD like effect (not as good tho, mind you, and it only happens if they go to a standing poster, it's worthless if they are standing). Depends on the situation.

Now if we can get Startle to force poster down, I'd be truly happy

Sylk,

I'm not the greatest pvp ever but I have played with some macros that seem to work well.

1) stun/dizzy - I have a macro for 1 flushing2, 1 flurry2, repeat if you fail

2)head shot- 3 hs3's with a /heal self at the end. I use it because I'm often taking health/action dmg and if Iget too many hs3'sin my queue Ican still die to someone taking down my health

3) strafe2 - 3 strafe2's with a /heal self at the end. same...

You can do more or less shots before healing depending on your armor and your buff. I've alsoplayed with longer sequence macros but they don't work well for me. If you hit a macro for flushing2, flurry2, strafe2, strafe2, /heal self, repeat 3 times and something happens or you have killed the person or are getting attacked from behind and need to burst, you will keep on in your sequence and will not be able to react in time.

I'm interested in hearing more tips from the better PVP's out there on macros...

Cheers,

Seems like I agree with almost every post Skeletor puts down in the forums. Those tactics he put down are the ones I use, with a few modifications.

First, I personally never start combat with a Jawa or a T21. I like using the E-11 to put the stun and dizzy on. The blue lasers from the jawa tend to grab peoples attention and you can have multiple people shooting at you at the same time. I made the mistake once of starting with a Flushing2 from a Jawa Ion Rifle before and had 6 people firing at me 2 seconds later. (I'm pretty sure a squad leader saw me and forced everybody to target me). Don't use the T21 till a stun sticks, you won't hit anybody that has ranged defence. Once you get the status effects on switch to Jawa to take out the armored punks or a T21 to kill Wookies.

I don't use shooting macros, but that doesn't mean they can't help, hell, I don't wear armor and I know that would help me out . I'm boycotting armor at the moment. Chipmonk thinks buffs ruined PVP while I think its all the armor. I laugh in battles now because everybody is wearing full composite except for me and my fuzzy friends. I do have one small macro set up to /peace then heal. It seems to heal a little quicker that way.

Most riflemen will tell you to use hs2 because it costs less HAM for almost the same dmg, but if your mind is buffed like it should be go ahead and shoot the hs3.

The last tip I have is to stay far away from the cloning centers. Battles in cities gravitate towards the clone facilities and revenge TEFs suck. Nothing is worse than doing well in pvp then having the TKM you just killed walk over to you as a blue dot and knock you down.

I wish you bad luck in PVP.....Dirty Rebel .

I had a big pvp battle today where almost everyone on the opposing side was a def stacker that could heal. SO my only options were use dizzy to kd and then use hs3 or just spam hs3.
