Thread: How do you use Strafe2? How am I screwing this up?

For one reason or another my AOE Strafe2 doesn't hit all the targets. It's only hitting the one I'm aiming at and then it drains my HAM without doing more than a specialty shot to a random pool. I must be doing something wrong. Do I have to tab through all the targets to get the Strafe2 to hit each one?

Also, the holo gods have cursed me to be a Master Architect. While it allows me to keep Master Rifleman, I have a buttload of expensive crap to buy. I figured if I could go out and kill Holo dropping NPCs and skill attachment NPCs, I'd be a lot more likely to earn the cash and afford this new profession of mine. I did the savage unskilled DS wielders from the jedi mishes on dant (as well as the crystal hunter) without a problem. Having gotten buffed beforehand, I just guzzled some brandy, took cover, and blaster away with conceal shot. It worked like a charm. So if this is an okay hunting strategy, where should I be hunting for good loot.

One last question, is it me or do all of your T21s hit for more than the DXR-6b? I got a great deal on my DXR, but on Intrepid all of the riflemakers are stopping production of their T21s and making DXRs. Not only are the DXRs more expensive, but they don't seem to be as effective as the T21. Is this your experience as well?

Well strafe 2 functions like any AOE attackk and everything in your cone of fire must be engaged in combat for the shot to dmg them. IF not then they react like it hit them and agro you so your next shot should hit them.

As for the DRX-b Mine is 250-570 something , and it does very well against most mobs. The key with the a basic DRX-b is to know your target, examine them and look at their resists, in my experience many many more creatures how either low acid resists or even acid vulnerability. A great example of this is in the Geo Caves not one creature in there has above 30% acid resists thatI know of. However most of them have high energy resists.

Thanks a ton for the info, and btw that's pretty nice DXR you've got. I haven't seen one that good on Intrepid yet.

Actually the DXR-6b does seem to do less damage than my t21. If you watch the combat window, there is no damage mod added for the medium ap, even against opponents with no armor rating. On the other hand, the T21 gets a nice damage bonus for its heavy ap. I think the ap might be bugged on the disruptors. For example, if i shoot something with my dirsuptor, combat window says i hit for 1800, it takes 1800 damage over its head. When i use the T21 and hit for 1800, it takes around 3200 damage. Works on all kinds of different creatures so don't tell me i didn't check the resists

I've noticed the same thing with my DXR. Is that a known bug, or is that just something we are supposing? The T21's AP3 was the reason I used it over my much faster laser rifle when I was grinding.

afaik it's a bug. when a mob has a weakness against your weapon type[acid] you dont get the AP bonus which is silly..
