Ya go 4-0-0-4 carb, it's a much better use of skill points.

Except with only 4/0/0/4 in carb you wont be able to hit a thing.

Actually it would be better to go 0404 in carbineer for the accuracy and get a really fast DH17 and E11 Carb.

Hello. I am a MCM/Novice Doc, and I have 38 skill points left to use up in rifleman (32 after the Novice Rifleman box). Not being familiar with the specials associated with Rifleman, I'm not sure how to allocate my points. Initially, I am planning on going 4-0-0-4. Which combination would you recommend to compliment my current profession?

Thanks for you input...

honestly....dont... just 4004 wont do you really any good. Im serious actually.....rifleman is one of the few professions only worth mastering......however if you persue to go on.....4004 would be the best bet....accuracy and speed

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I realize that "dabbling" in Rifleman is not great, but I want some type of combat skills to compliment my medic skills.

Go carbineer, they're getting fixed this publish and have better "dabbling" skills

I agree, do not dabble in rifleman.. Carbineer looks much more attractive to dabble in... lots of state specials and so on.. knockdowns... looks like fun

Yes, Carbineer has some cool specials, but I'm still not convinced dabbling there is any better than Rifleman. From an effectiveness standpoint, Rifleman appears to have the ability to do significantly more damage.

Please elaborate, with specifics, as to why Carbineer would be better.

Thanks.

Rifles do not get a 90 speed until master with a 4004 rifleman you will have 70 speed, now this does not sound like much difference but speed is exponitial in growth. There are many calculations of speed on the rifleman forum to point all of this out, just do a look up for them to fully explain it. As for an example at 4004 you will shot a t21, using head shot 3 or flurry 2, at around 3 to 4 seconds a shot. At Master Rifleman it would be at or close to 1 second per shot, thus tripling your pure dps. Carbines are naturally faster weapons so the delay starts out lower than rifles, so you will fire a Carbine faster than rifle if just dabbling in either, and as you said the Carbine specials are cool. So if just dabbling you will have better specials as a Carbineer and fire faster.

I think all of us agree that you should not dabble in rifleman... that we all know for sure!! ...

And carbines definetly got some nice upgrades.

And there's always that "Combat Balance" taht looms, which can change everything

actually i disagree with accuracy and speed being best unless your using the accuracy line solely for PVP as a ranged deathblow.

if having a ranged deathblow doesnt matter then 0034 for flushing2 and abilities4

if your looking for a ranged DB just get accuracy4 and a fast CDEF and dump the others in something like dancer...

as stated before, rifle just doesnt shake out too well as a dabble profession.
