Hey, sorry if its been done, I did do a search...

Whats the difference between Adv. Startleshot, Imporved Startleshot, and basic Startleshot?

Is it just damage or is it the time of the effect? Like will basic startle be the same as adv. except for damage? or will the effect last less time?

Well from what the skill trees say:

Basic -forces opponent up one posture level, minimal damage

Improved - increased damage, same effect

Advanced - increased damage, additionally delays target from attacking for a few seconds

From personal experience - I never even bothered to use basic or improved, but I use Advanced in every encounter. So couldn't tell you regarding the lesser ones. :-/

Meh thanks for the help, I too use startle in every encounter for the delay, not the posture up, guess its adv. or nothing.

if you have an higher version of a shoot you can no longer use the lower version.

advanced startle is the only one with the delay so if you are seeking that you need to use that shot.
