Guys I have rifle 4xx4 now. How much harder does advanced sniper shot hit compared to improved if all conditions were kept the same, save changing the special? I know advanced startle shot is very nice too for its delay, however I was just wondering if it was worth it to get the master box for increased output.

All conditions aren't kept the same, though ... you have better speed and accuracy, and the increased accuracy increases damage.

I have M Commando M Smuggler and Rifleman 4xx4. Dropping M Commando to pick up M Rifleman nets me 10 more in general ranged accuracy. So I would have 195 general ranged accuracy and remain at plus 85 rifle accuracy. That's a 280 total vs 270. Let's say I am using a max damage 1038 rifle vs a CL 80 dewback that mitigates 40% of my damage. If I were to fire improved sniper shot then advanced sniper shot the rough damage difference between the two for one shot each would be?

THere is no good way for anyone but you to test this... Unless of course you only want a Damage modifier for each shot. (Im sure there is a sticky with this info somewhere on the forums)

Since your characters accuracy and weapon influence this alot, its best fo you to test it yourself. You can only do one type of each special untill you train or drop skills since the CU.... So... Youd basicaly have to shoot a paticular critter with the lower level skill, then note all you accuracy changes as you trained up to the higher skill, and take those into consideration as you shot the exact same type of critter.

I think the devs did this accidentaly (They arent forward thinking enough to plan it), and it serves to complicate any direct % increase in damage when building a template.

Actually it was planned that way....
