I am in the process of unlocking my Jedi, and have been a rifleman since Day 1. I have had this skill since i bought the game and just cant part with it. I know matching some Jedi skill with this profession can be quite fomidable.I am wondering from the experience of others, should i go more defensive or more offensive. I know i will need the armor line from Enhancers most likey.

Any suggestions, are welcome. If you want to flame so be it, but use very very small text.

I was Master Rifleman/Jedi Hybrid for about two months, and I angered many a BH by defeating them in an average of 9 seconds. Group of 2? No Problem. Group of 3? No Problem. You will absolutely love it, I promise.

This was my template: Defender 0040(Improved Aura is Great) Enhancer 3003(Forcerun 1 to make up for encumbrance, and Improved Forcespeed to make up for Rifles naturally being slow, Channel is a requirement, and Force Drain was a nice suprise when PVPing against other Jedi), Healer 4040(1500 pt heals and sap, which used to be cool but isn't that great any longer)

Force Armor might not be the way to go, because you won't have much force, and that will eat it up that much more quickly-I would go with another full line of Defender instead, for extra innate armor.

Ok, so i was playing with a character builder and came up with this template.

MRM

Defender 1-0-4-0

Enhancer 4-0-0-4

Healer 4-0-0-0

Novice Powers

Should give me in the neighborhood of 3200 force. I went novice Powers for the 200 more force. I was going to post something about this on the Jedi forums but it seems they detest dabblers. Friggin hippies.

You can use Jedi abilities while holding a rifle?

this may change - currently it has having a debalance to the jedi power progression.

do you mean they may be changeing it so that jedi powers wont work with anything but a saber in hand? :/

haveing just droped master sabers a few months back in favour of picking up my rifle again thats not something id like to see heh, either re grind sabers which i got board with and give up my rifle or drop the rest of the jedi template, not gonna be an easy choice if it comes to it :/

ohh and if this is common knowledge forgive the question, but i gave up reading the jedi forums quite a while back

Yeah, i dont want a saber. Why lower my DPS?

I scan the Jedi forums, and have seen people bring it up. I never read anywhere that they intended to implement it. If i want a Rifleman/Jedi by Yoda i ground the xp, its my character and my 250 skill points.

and yeteven if you feel entitled - if it debalances the game it must be fixed or the enjoyment of others is harmed. Game Balance > personal feelings.

This is the reason we have had the big rubber hose applied to us before. T_T
