Thread: Tips for RIFLEMAN AND THE CU???? anyone?

Hello guys, personally I been working in groups and getting LOTS of XP...
but I dont really know what im doing anymore.. since the CU changed everything, are there any tips for rifleman
for the CU? like they took headshoot1 and 2 etc and put the advanced etc headshoot that I guess is the same but not sure.. I cant see if I do more damage from 30m or from 5m looks the same now.. so why bother stay back anymore like before?
anyhow please TIPS and some new macros will be nice..

well, there is a faq
but hey
one thing i will point out though, as for reasons to stay back, namely: new ranges for other classes: pistols 35m, carbines 50m, stay 36m or above, pistols wont touch you, 51m or above, carbines cant touch you

yap but how can a rifleman hit now? before it was 60... now I cant do it.. only 32 or so..

what do you mean? Rifles can hit fairly well - you know- target-use special - hit often. If you mean you can't fire beyond 32m then you are facing this issue:
higher level rifles have ranges of 64m
low tier rifles have shorter range (as low as 32m max)

Not totally true, some pistols can hit 48 m, my advanced scatter for one and I believe my FGW5.

Stay at max range unless you have good melee defense. Mobs tend to go straight for the highest damage dealer (usually me) and melee defense is a lifesaver. I can stand there basically as a tank and keep shooting. If health goes down, burst run and heal. Watch your action bar. Too many specials will cause you to become too tired. This may sound obvious but when in a hunting group, you (Rifleman) do the pulling from max range. Makes things so much easier.

Hello, yap I found that out when I level up this last week.
I had a weak rifle... now I can hit from far away..

Well, the max for pistols is 45m, with commando (launcher pistol). Rifles rule ranged, mostly because of our 64m range (74 with a cybernetic arm) and our accuracy isn't bad, haven't gotten into any acc problems lately(must be cause im a mbh)
