Thread: Can you go over dmg cap with slicing?

Title says it all. Just wondering, because I'm somewhat confused on the subject.

The slicing caps are less than the damage caps.

I know there has been some discussion revolving around the true caps. As far as I know on rifles the cap is 1,184.


I had one of my rifles sliced recently and it hit 1,183 and the smuggler recieved the message that the cap had been reached.

it also uses numbers after the decimal place


your weapon could be 1183.6 or so... which would be rounded to 1184 for cap purposes...

aye, but lets say a rifle with 1100 damage with a level 3 damage slice could easily be taken into 118x, or so I was told.., I figure that even if a level 4 slice was made, and the % would overpass the set cap on rifles, its damage wouldn't go any higher then 118x, regarless of the % above that the slice would add.


I recon my best choice is if a rifle is 1100 damage, with a level 3 slice could reach the 118x's, then you would spend a free point in speed, this if the sac was already capped..


What I know for sure is that no slice can go over the cap, if set rifle for example already had 82 SAC, no slices to the SAC could be applied.
