Used a tanking pet from a BE, hunted all over the galaxy, sometimes taking missions for money. Sometimes just running from one end of a planet to another.

Laser Rifle, speed sliced until I got to Rifleman 2/0/0/2. Then I broke out my T-21, speed sliced with powerups for the duration.
- HOW LONG IT TOOK U -
Because I slacked off, got sidetracked, etc., about 2.5 months.

A buff session. Approximately 3 hours, not necessarily everyday.

started as a BioE/pistoleer. dropped pistoleer, added CH and progressed slowly. dropped BioE. mastered rifle. mastered scout. picked up ranger. mastered CH. no buffs, no armor, occasional use of muon.
bowcaster. CDEF to laser rifle. laser to jawa. laser and jawa to T21. laser, jawa, T21 to master.
started in July '03. started using a rifle about august '03. mastered rifle about september '03.
didn't have to grind... I'd kill everything in sight and harvest for contracts. I WOULD play for hours at a time, probably 30+ hours a week.
this won't end any questions.
my TC rifle... a zabrak (hadn't realized that human would be better):
started as a rifle. added master brawler, started TKA. spent combat xp to increase rifle speed. shot at things, then pounded them when they got close. didn't use buffs, occasionally used ubese armor (jacket/gloves/boots only). started using vaserian brandy. led group hunts. mastered rifle. mastered TKA.
same as above, sans bowcaster.
took less than a month.
between group hunts, killing everything in sight, harvesting, and using /conceal, I did pretty well. once I had rifle special abilities 4 and countersniping 3, I grouped with a tank and pushed out the rest of the xp at about 1mil/90 minutes.
still don't see how this answers any questions.
Little more practical then others...
Speed sLiced dl20a to a Speed sliced LASer PUPED WITH SPEED To NOvice rifleman...
Got 0/0/0/2 right away with CE laying aorund.
Got a nastyy spray stick and sliced for 32% dmg and speed pup..
Spammed hs2 like there was no 2morra on Quenkers...
Many ppl liked this route.. I hated it.. but ehh wateva works..
I THOUGHT POINT BLANK WAS ONLY A PISTOL SKILL.. Gotta keep that in mind

Used a speed sliced DLT20a to about Novice Rifle. Then Laser Rifle and T21 thru Rifleman

Anumber of months. Got sidetracked a couple of times doing some other professions. Also at the time there was no buffs and no armor for Wookiees. Nor did I use CH pets. It was all done solo though.

Depending on the day. Usually about 3-5 hours of playing. Pure rifle grind I would do an hour or two.
Took me about 5 days, about 3 hours every day to master. Killed me Canyon Corsairs

WEAPON:
Laser rifle till I could use a T21, then T21 till Disruptor... I will use the Disruptor (speed sliced) till the end, with speed power ups of course
HOW LONG:
I started playing a month and half ago, maybe in the next couple of weeks I will be master (I'm levelling CH too, so lost a lot of time on scout and on the image designer tree... slooooow)
HOW MUCH GRIND:
No more then a buff session a day, about 3 hours...

3 days once i really got into it, other wise i slacked off for a long time
