Thread: What do you feel is our most urgent issue -=Sept 02 05=-

Just That. Please give me some idea what we should be pushing for changes in and where you would like rifleman to be in 3 months time?


My thoughts currently:


1) Damage output (vs healing in pvp) : Lower damage reduction?

2) Kneecap Shot (or other nearly useless attacks) : upgrades?

3) Master Weapon benefit? : Ideas? (no armor break will not fly T_T tried already)

would say that our snare sucks and needs to be enhanced or fixed or something. but i dont know as much as the next guy, so they'll give u much better answers.

before this gets going to far... rifleman will not be getting a root (as per devs). If you want one you will have to dabble to get it.

remove accuracy penalty from headshot (we are supposed to be the accurate ones) a single target posture DOWN shot. (I don't think this would infringe on carbineers aoe suppression fire)

Armor Break - Give up Startle or Kneecap shot for an Armor Break shot, a give and take that stays within professional boundaries already set. Armor Break fits Rifle High Damage dealing profile. Whereas kneecap and startle are both "light" versions of pistol/carb/Bh specials (idealistically). For much the same reasons we won't get a "Root", we don't really deserve the snare and since the Startle shot changes have been made it is a near useless ability. That Armor Break increases amount of damage capable makes it, in combination with other high damage specials, the very definition of post-CU "nuking".


Ranged Deathblow - If the stupid cyber arm can have it so can Riflemen. Even 40m is alot to cover before the incapped person gets up. Triple incapping is one of the least fun ways to die, not that any of them are terribly fun. I would at least push for longer incap timers if Ranged deathblow is an impossibility, force people into making another food choice (Cavellian creams) if they want to get up really quick. Incap Timer of 10-60 seconds decided randomly with damage taken at death playing a strong role in relation to duration of incap, if you eat cavellian creams it is a flat 1-10 seconds.


Lesser Abilities - Let us utilize redundant lesser shots in our arsenal. Two different Concealed shots, even if one is noticeably weaker, would be an ability that expanded upon something good about us currently. It wouldn't overpower anything in PvE as stuff still responds more everytime you fire, it would just quicken the rate at which you pull something to you. Personally, I think all professions should have this, but this is a fine place to start asking for it formally.

LOS when prone.

This is especially bothersome when undercover.
The ability to go to a kneeling position(with out moving) and remaining undercover might solve the los issue.

Significantly reduce aim warm-up timer and maybe increase the acc. bonus itself. I see this as a counter to COB/aura, aura is applied instantly, COB applies much faster than aim, not to mention adv. COB(+500 defense) is in a tier 1 box in TK !!

T21 better than ALR first of all, a master box weapon that is outdone by a lvl 54 weapon, is useless.


Secondly, why does the carbineer snare slow enemies down more than the rifleman snare? As riflemen we move slower than carbineers and therefore should have a shot that allows us to keep distance properly. Not wanting any nerfs for the carbineers, just giving and example of where our shot should work differently.


Head shot accuracy...even with the high accy of MBH/MR I still miss with this shot a lot -- Accy 285--. I can imagine how not MBH riflemen are feeling when they can't hit with one of their most dependent offensive tools.


Startleshot is a great tool, but it seems to me the effect wears off before I can actually have time to apply my foods, hit a stim, or whatever I'm trying to use it for. Also, shouldn't it posture change and KD a target that's standing when they are dizzy? It will KD a target if I have them dizzy on the ground after a KD (they will stand and then fall back down), but not if they are kneeling or standing.

OK Aim, increase it's duration (I don't think they want to give us a 500 accuracy boost, though if they did that would be nice as well). Aim - 20 seconds, Improved Aim - 40 seconds, Advanced Aim 60 - seconds.

If they want to do what is in the parenthesis, Aim 250 for 15 seconds, Improved Aim 500 for 15 seconds, Advanced aim 500 for 30 seconds.

Us having a snare is taking away from our Damage dealing, and I rather have that as a true 5 then our Crowd Control becoming a true 3 so:


Change Kneecap shot into a Leg Shot or Head Shot like DD shot with noWarmup timer.

Your #3, should probably be something all Corrs push for all professions, just makes sense to me and would give more diversity to this game.
