Ok, well, im a new rifleman, will be a rifleman/bh, but anyway, ive looked through these boards a little, and found some things to help, but i was wondering if you guys could answer some questions for me? What kind of parts(and the stats that are good) can be used to making rifles? I think i know of powercells or krayt tissues, but what else is there? What kind of rifle should I go for: HLR? ALR? T-21? trando rifle? or something i dont know of? Sorry if these are kinda stupid questions, but i have only had melee characters for so long, I feel kinda lost. I appreciate any advice or answers you can give me.

I can answer a bit of each question.

As for parts, Look for power cells, dmg over 180 and SAC 7 or more. Some old pre-22 "Advanced Weapon Scope"s have an acc bonus of 60+ and a great speed bonus. If you can find one of those, great. Advanced weapon stocks generally get rejected by WS because they use their crafted stocks to lower SAC. Trandoshan barrels are required for the trandoshan hunting rifle, so if you're considering that, look for a min/max dmg of 30+/34 with a -8 SAC and a -.75 speed or so.

As for which rifle to choose, well you have many options.

The T21 is a Mrifle trademark, and has anice report. The acc bonus is lacking however, and it generally can't beat the Advanced Laser rifle.

The Advanced Laser Rifle is a very good weapon all around, but seems like everyone has one, so if youre looking for originality this is NOT the way to go. But, expect better speeds from this than from a T21. (odd considering what a T21 actually is)

The Heavy Lightning Rifle has the HIGHEST MAX DMG OF ANY RIFLE. The dmg caps at 1150 crafted, with a 40 electricity dmg on top. (1190) drawback is you'll only be able to use this once you actually reach MBH.

The Trandoshan hunting rifle is generally the toughest to find. It tends to have a relatively high minimum damage crafted, and (I'm not sure on this so any WS out there call me on it) due to the barrel, has a better potential speed and SAC. If you have the time to invest in getting the barrel for this rifle, I'd say its well worth it. Also a rather unique-looking gun, though i wish the blaster bolt that came out was clear like the quested one.

Overall, I'd suggest running BH missions till you get some power cells that will cut it for you. (+183 will get you near, but not all the way to, cap) Then search bazaar for a scope with a 60+ acc bonus, look at paying up to a half mil for it. Then you need to get a trandoshan hunting rifle barrel. Have fun with that, it's not easy. Or buy it from someone fro 3-5 million.

Now make friends with a 12-point WS and ask him nicely not to screw it up. As long as you ask nicely, they won't get a crit failure and waste all your hard-earned loot. If you need help getting trando barrels, email me ingame at Eclipse.strych.
