So you cannot put robes (non-jedi) on either huh.... that seems kinda silly... is there nothing to cover them up... or are there asthetically pleasing arms?

Also where do you get these ranged arms?

no robes, no jackes, but some shirts work. nothing covers them up (but you do get used to the look after a while). and the quests start at the bestine cantina with the rodian, and with dr. kinsworthy in the myrdylll caverns (after a bunch of other quests to unlock his quests)

What happens if you get hit in the arms by a shot? If you have say 50% protection from your other armor, do you lose this protection if you get hit in the arm area? Thanks.

It hurts. A lot.

Any cybernetic limbs that you have are totaly umarmored and damage to those areas is scored against your health at 100%. The limbs do have a Cond stat, but the seem to degrade very slowly and may be repaired at the Med centers for a fee.

and what does /bump mean

absolutely nothign

bump just means to up a thread to the top of aboard. In trade fourms, the threads fall down fast, and if they fall too low, or to another page, less people will notice your auction, so you woudl post on that thread to bring it back to the top. Everything below it goes down by one "row".

Some people say on their bumping posts /bump. I personally use this fancy bumping message:

________[Given up on trying to get a pvp rating of 0]_________

The 2 big bonuses I get from my arms are +15m to my max range and a ranged DB in PvP. Conceal shot from 80m is a truely nasty thing when the combat is frantic enough that they can't take the time to read the combat spam and realize that they need to /tar you. A covered Tusken from 80m is nearly invisible, as long as your damage can quietly blend into the spam. If you need to grind solo, a pair of arms should put you far enough out that most single creatures will be ready to fall over dead by the time they reach you, if they reach you at all.

Yeah, they look like hell and you can't cover them with clothing or armor, making for a great big armor hole that Pistols & Fencers drool over (Body Shot), but if your prepared to take advantage of the pluses then the minuses are well worth it IMHO.

If you decide your done with your arms for the day, you can take them off at any major medical center for something like 10k, and get your flesh arms back. You get to keep the Cyber Arms and can re-use them or trade them as often as you like.

Uhh, since when does critical snipe give a ranged DB? It's never worked for me, and as far as I have heard it's never worked for anyone.

I USED TO take Defense Stacker 2....do you?

Does the condition actually degrade like normal armor? Seemed to me that it only decayed when I clone. Might be wrong though, just going by what percentage the arms are in the cloner.

That is what bothers me, I don't mind the Cyber Arms in the game, they are just not my players "style," but if I want to perform at the max ranged and be a true Rifleman, I am forced into using them.

I agree, they are ugly as sin but... they dont look as bad when installed in pairs. With just one... your toon looks lopsided. Having two installed kinda balances ya out. Plus after a few hours, you get used to the look.

Really, there are a good many times when you do NOT want to have the cyber arms.

  • If your in a closed area where LOS is 65m or less, they're totaly useles. Un-even terrain and dense foliage will also make them difficult to effectivly use.

  • While using the arms, you are far more fragile for havingmissingarmor. Fencers & Pistolieers will rip you apart if they get into range. 4 out of 5 body shots will hit you for full damage and any other attack will hit for full about 1 time in 4.

  • You areweaker for the lack of anySEAs you may have in the arm segments of your armor or in coats/cloaks.

  • You cannot wear Ubese body armor with cyber arms.

  • You cannot wear Jedi robes with cyber arms.

  • The arms comewith negative stats on top of the clothing/armor penalties.

  • The recycle timer on the cyber specials is so long, your not likely to live long enough inbattle to actually use them twice (if they work for you at all).

More often than not, I leave them sitting at home. I'll get them out for the big fights when I know that I'll be playing the roll of longballer. Group PvP battles, big game hunts, & Melachi are really the only times I'll go out of my way to have them put back on and then only if it's a group that I know can and will protect me. (They're great for Mel. Do it right, and you'll only need to drop the crystals & Mel. Everyone else will be standing around wondering where the boss went.)

Don't get me wrong, I love my arms and have no plans of giving them up, but they're a special use tool with a time and a place.

What are the benifits of this and are you still able to wear robes or something to cover up the arms at all... I think they are tacky...

Also can they be removed(put your regular flesh and megabites arms back on) or are you stuck with them forever after instalation.

I appreciate any input
