Well, it's well known that with the price of armor and the insane decay (which is an issue being worked on by the armorsmith forum) paying for armor is next to impossible. Some of us have given up and quit buying armor, but let's face it, sometimes the resists come in handy. For those of you who are tired of continuosly replacing worn out armor and looking for ways to make less painful on the pocket book, I have one peice of advice, Buy Tantel!

Tantel is the only piece of non-factional (which is too expensive anyways) recon armor that has seperate arm and bicep pieces. Tests on which pieces of armor decay the fastes that were done by the armorsmiths show that for every one arm piece you go through, you will lose up to 7 head and leggins, and five chest pieces!!! Therefore, when you use up the higher decaying chest piece in mabari and ubese, you are throwing out your arm pieces too.

The requirements for the armorsmiths to create the combined piece chests are the same as they would be to craft the arms by themselves so the price for a complete set is no different. After the initial purchase however, you will be able to just repleace the chest peices without throwing out your perfectly good arm armor. This allows you to focus on replacing just the parts that need it and spending no extra credits than absolutely necessary. Yes, the combined peices have more condition than the individual, but if you do the math, that bonus does not even come close to covering the cost of replacing those pieces and extra five times.

Finally, there are tests going on right now to confirm there might be a "hole" in the combined pieces armor that is letting damage through unmitigated...another reason to go Tantel!

I am! My armorsmith alt is "technically" my wife's character...but any guesses on who actually does all the leg work for it?

It was like buying my wife a present with my own name already carved onto it!

Ouch...Sorry no help for our furry friends!

We do have on our list that we need more armors for the wookies to wear, but that's been like talking to a brick wall so far.
