I was wondering what the better class was to go with TKA. I'm looking to be good at both ranged and close quarter fighting. Carbineer and Rifleman are good ranged although I'm not sure what is better. Commando is better at close range but I like their cool weapons, and CH is pretty powerful, but if I fight a mob with my pet and myself, the mob only hits me not the pet, so that defeats the point of the pet tanking.

Any suggestions of a good second profession?

Depends on what weapon class you really enjoy using.

Each Carb/Rifleman/ch/comm has its strong and weak points.

Beware that the true power of rifleman is at Master, with other combat classes you can dabble in other tree's and free up those skill points for other uses.

I would just suggest getting to 4th tier in rifle and carb in marksman and make up your own mind. Thats all anyone should suggest.
