Thread: Conceal Shot Changes?
Recentlyconceal shot was adjusted so that it allows you to remain hidden unless you a) miss twice, b) have an aggressive mob wander over your position and notice you, c) do something else that gets you noticed. In other words, it trades safety vs. speed because it has a 3 times delay multiplier and 5 times mind costs, and targets a random pool... making for very long fights.
However, I've heard rumors that the devs are going to readjust conceal shot. What I can't figure out from these rumors is a) how true they are and b) how exactly the devs are going to readjust the way conceal shot works (if at all).
Does anyone have any more specific information?

Well you'd better hurry. The devs have left a few hints in their posts over the last week that the December publish might be sometime this week. I just hope that it's later this week, since I'm still 330k rifle & 70k combat XP away from master and like you want to spam the **edit** out of it before it's gone.

As of Friday with about 550k rifle XP to grind,I had a little more XP to grind than do you here. On Friday night, I went to Dantooine and took on Picket Longhorns. I got about 110K of rifle XP. That was not bad. But on Saturday, I decided to take the advise I had seen of many on these posts and went to Dathomire to look for Baz Nitches. My first two missions yielded about 30k XP, but on the way back, I ran into escaped slaves of both the Night Sister and Singing Mountain Clan variety. They yielded about 3k per slave, but the main thing about them is that they spawned quite a few slaves per spawn and spawned several times in a row each. In this first encounter, I worked my way through the Escaped Night Sister Slaves spawn till it dried upthen did the sameto the Singing Mountain Clan variety spawning right next to them. By the time I had cleared both spawn points completely, I had gone up a little over another 100k. Then a friend joined me, and we did3 or 4more baz nitch (and some giant baz nitch) missions. After we got done with them, and a few miscelaneous spawns, I was almost there. My friend had to leave, but on the way back to the out post,I ran into a lair of mutant baz nitches on the way back to the outpost. At 4.6k per mutant baz nitch, it did not even take the entire lair to get me over the top for my last rifle and combat boxes in Rifleman.
I can only say that I wish I had gone to Dath much earlier on. Between the escaped slaves and the baz nitches, especially the mutant variety, you can churn out the XP quickly. Concealshot works great against the mutants, so I do not know if they BAF. The regular kind do, so even a good non-CH pet is helpful to keep their attention if you do not use Concealshot.
