I'm fairly new to Rifleman but from my experience.. if you don't have some pretty decent melee skills you should be prepared. Whatever you hunt.. you better be able to kill it and any other creatures the area attack is aggroing. Pay special attention to using this close to a lair too since it also does damage to the lair and can cause more creatures to spawn.

So as a 1-1-3-1 I wouldn't suggest going after any solo-group type creatures that you couldnt normally get on your own. Flushing2 is pretty powerful.. but really irritates the mobs you're attacking and they'll all be on you in a heartbeat.

Just my 2 cents!

find yourself somebody who is crazy enough, buffed enough and armored enough to take on a lair of pickets, then stand back and go to town with your area attacks while your buddy takes the damage, if you work up your speed column you will pull out a descent dps and some awesome xp (dps = dmg per sec). I noticed that once I got flushingshot2 that my hunting partner was complaining of getting less xp and I noticed an increase just cause I had learned this shot and was abusing its power. Startleshot2 is the same way, area high damage, they are pretty good substitute shots until you get strafeshot2 but there is not point of blowing away targets after that .... you don't need the rifle xp... in fact I haven't had rifle xp in months, cry... I wish I could do something with the 900k rifle and 300k combat xp that is just sitting there. Oh well.

Buy yourself a decent LE2 tank droid and go for Huurtons on Dantooine. Don't try to take on anything but the basic Huurtons for now. Huurton Huntresses actually have enough HAM so that (if you're unlucky), they'll incap you or your droid before you drop them.

that depends on what youir otehr profession is.

if you have a pet, send in the pet and keep it on lair, stay concealed at max range and drop everything that moves.

if you dont have a pet, go get Hurton missions on dantooine, they come in about 4 different difficulty flavors. pick one that is equal or just slightly above you (white or yellow), you will do entire lairs in manner of seconds once you get the hang of it.

make sure you are of course buffed, armored, and well fed otherwise forget it.

also, i forgot which, but flushing shot or flurry shot makes things dizzy, if you have ranged supprt 4, supression fire, pick humanoid missions and you can KD them with it.

also, if you are having a hard time geting appropriate lvl missions, go do faction based missions. they will always give you good xp and nice faction to boot. kill 2 birds with 1 stone, go to dantooine get in group, if you're rebel hop over to rori and do missions tehre, if imp, i dont know where imps go for their missions, maybe bestine.
