Thread: Effective use of FlushingShot2

First off, I'm currently Rifleman 4-2-3-2. As I've been grinding on Dantooine quite a bit lately I've noticed that the shot that I consistently get decent damage from is FlushingShot2 (well.. HS3 isnt bad either). I'm using a Laser Rifle with a damage slice and powerup (although its almost dead so I'm about to get a new one with a speed slice) and I can get a decent 2200-3000 damage per shot.

I usually find a solo group and hit Mokk and Janta missions using ConcealShot (definitely not consistent damage.. anywhere from 350 to 2000). This takes forever on a Mokk with a 13K HAM and increases the chances that I tick him with a bleed and get aggroed.

I'd rather switch to an area attack like FlushingShot2 and get some easier Quenker missions or something. That way I can blow through the whole mission pretty quick with a nice area attack. This should turn over more exp than Mokks (which I get about 4800 xp per kill) since I can take the missions out quicker.

Whats a good effective way of using FS2 in this case? I mean.. if Im kneeling 60 meters out and I start spamming FS2 those Quenker are going to be all over me in no time.. and FS2 does not work very well when something is standing right in front of me.

Should I go buy a non-CH pet to tank for me to keep them off me? This seems like the most logical solution.. but I wondered if anyone else had any strategies that I could use to ramp up the xp rate (which doesnt involve a pet or having to split xp with a melee player).

Mokks and Jantas are nice.. but it just takes a long time laying there using concealshot against 6 of them (and boring at that). Not to mention the fact they like to wander around so I have to keep following them as they walk out of range.

going prone will let u get 3 shots off before they agro on u, so if ur 60m out, 3 shots and maybe 1 more while they r charging at u should finish them off.

problem with this is that the flushing shot will only be doing damage to the guy targeted. So if he aggros, all of his friends will aggro, and they still have full life. So although you could finish off the first guy before he gets to you, his 3 friends are now nibbling at your feet.

I used the CH method back in the day and since you don't have to worry about ch xp you'll have it made. Just set the pet on the lair and fire away, just hope that your pet lives until you can finish off the quenkers.

do savage quenker missions, they have a new ranged attack, you can keep them at 20m out and spam flushing all day now

There are new Droids with high HAM, low damage, and auto repair features that keep it in the fight longer. I havent run tests vs non CH pets, but I get rave reviews from my customers. If I were still leveling Rifleman, this is the route I would go. I am not saying this as a DE trying to make a cred, I am saying this as someone who has had great success with my new droids in action.

I'm 2-2-3-4 and have just got flushing shot, its doubled my experiance rate at least, I got a LE repair droid, with one combat unit and 2 auto repair units and 6k HAM, I walk to about 55m from the lair and send the droid in to attack, once it starts hitting the lair I use flushing shot until everything is dead, I find the best experience is huurton stalkers, quenkers used to be good but they are nerfed now, You can also do grauls and pikets with this method, with the droid taking most of the hits, but huurtons seem to spawn more, fall quicker and give as good exp so i reccomend them.

Also avoid janta's and mokks unless you need the cashuntill you get a DXR-6b, they both have good resists to energy + blast weapons, so take ages to kill

assuming you're buffed and armored, just kite the quenkers in a small circle around the lair. spam flush2 and you'll aoe the lair and the mobs.
