I have been a master rifleman for at least eight months now..play everyday...and there are no perks or benefits for staying true to a profession....seems to me that for every month or so there should be a skill point of sometype added somewhere to add to the value of staying in a profession. As it is in life the longer the do something the better you get and the more you learn.....as they say to become an expert you learn more and more about less and less....why aren't they giving us a reason to stay in one profession? Someone who just turned master rifleman should get full benefit of the profession..but someone who stays for a length of time should reap extended benefits....of course the benefits would be lost if the profession was given up...

There's the respect of your peers... Otherwise, continue to hone your skills and find better combinations. It's not like you ever peak when you master a profession.

Neat idea, but SS2 is enough reward for me That and the fact that, in my guild, I was (when I was last in game-could bedifferent now that we're FotM) one of only 3 Riflemen and the only one who was a Master. Made me feel special

I think a reward for staying with a profession is a great idea. But I feel its better for crafting professions than combat ones. After all we get to totally rule PvP and kill anything we like just by thinking about it.

In seriousness I think some kind of aknkowledgement (that you aint a poxy freeloading grinder) that you've stuck with a profession is good, but I feel that crafters and entertainers deserve it much more than us riflemen. (after all we are hard bastards!)

I think in addition to what was mentioned by the original poster, people who have stuck with a profession for a long time should get special titles like "Veteran Sharpshooter" or somthing like that. Definatly veterans should get some new moves, maybe not different in effect, but different in name and animation, for example TKM could have a new move that uses the same damage mods and delay mods as unarmed hit 3 but it has a different animation and a different name just to throw in some variety. Maybe veterans could also get a new rifle, similar in stats to an existingrifle, just different in look. Or you could have quests for these types of things that are only available to veterans. For sure veterans should get some bonuses, since FOTM is not a concern here, I think it would be more than fair to give a modest reward to those who have stuck a prof out for a long time.

no, the point is make it worthwhile to stay as a master of a given class for a long time. just a little class perk, like a different title, slightly improved attack, etc.

i think it's a great idea that improves all classes. 5 stars from me.

i agree.. at least make a skill box for each profession that gives you something cool at like 500k xp and then 1mill xp.. i mean it would take FOREVER but thats the point right?

I think a nice perk would be the ability to buy +1 to a selected skill for every million XP you get beyond Master. So, if you earned 1,000,000 XP of Rifle, you could buy an additional +1 to Rifle Aiming or Block. If you earned 1,000,000 combat XP, you could buy +1 to Rifle Speed.

It would be too easy to max out all your skill mods if you did that, you keep forgetting the power of a master rifleman, mostly anything can be taken down with ease and speed.....not to mention the factthat I got 300k combat xp and maxed my xp at 900k in a couple hours of being a master rifleman

The crafting market is already heavily biased toward older crafters because of resources and SEAs, it doesn't need any "veteran rewards" unbalancing it even more.

If this sort of thing was implemented for any profession, it'd either be something useful that puts new players at a sizable disadvantage and creates a general newbie-unfriendliness (a good weapon/attack, skill bonuses, etc), or something worthless that no one will really care about (crap weapon, broken special, etc). Titles would be cool because they'd let you display your commitment to the profession without affecting gameplay.
