I was out hunting with a friend trying find a krayt. We found one but there was a Ranger/Master Rifleman there. She invited us and we succesfully killed 2 krayts and got a lot of tissue. However I got killed and so did my friend. She on the other just sat still and was taking damage but very little at a time. Now am I missing an important part of soloing a Krayt? I really want to do this or at least with my friend who is also a Master Rifleman.

It is possible with doctor and rifleman, but also have good 80% kinetic armor, 40%+ synthsteak and decent buffs through all pools including mind/focus/willpower with Brandy and Ahrisa and having 900+ stim D's handy. When I did this I was getting hit for only 400-700+ dmg per hit, I felt the hard hitting but always keep moving (I thinkt the Canyon hits for 2K+ dmg per hit).
I'm willing to bet she wasn't fighting a Canyon Krayt elder, I fought one and they have 335K ham and extremely high resists.

I'm a MCH/MRifle, and with a healer can easily take down Canyon Krayts. I'm sure Giants and Ancients would be doable, but haven't happened upon them yet. Its sad that some of the biggest mobs in the game are easily killed by 1-3 ppl.

lol.. no one answered your actual question.
i'm a master rifle, master doc.
juveniles are easily solo'd.
canyons can be solo'd, but you need very good armor, plenty of stims, and good mind buffs. you're going to take lumps for quite a while, which means lots of healing, in addition to the rifle specials you're spamming. that all adds up to a ton of mind cost, and standard be-brandy will probably not get you there. still, routinely can be done.
giant canyons are very tricky-- chances are you won't be successful. they dizzy/kd, which is no fun. granted, you can cure the dizzy with a /stand;/healstate macro, but they still can hit very hard while you're down, and sooner or later those hits will be to your mindpool. i tend to lose these fights by mindpool attrition, and don't like soloing them.
elders are very difficult, and not worth the effort. assuming you keep yourself alive, it will probably despawn before you get it killed.
