Thread: PLEASE stop these very annoying RANDOM BLEEDS

Any riflemen know what I'm talking about? I bet the ones who are leveling do! You're firing non-bleed shots...like flushing, flurry, conceal, strafe...and suddenly your target, who is at a distance, develops a bleed -somehow-. We all know what that means...once it bleeds, it comes charging at you (unless it's a ranged humanoid NPC). And once it comes charging at you, your accuracy drops considerably and you will get hit because of the increased melee to-hit chance against ranged characters, especially riflemen.

This bleeding makes no sense. A target should start bleeding when I use a -bleed shot- like Mind Shot 2, not a regular attack like Flushing Shot. It's very irritating!

I have a bad feeling about this nerf

These were put in to deter soloing of high-end MOBs. The fact that you don't like it means it's more or less working as the Devs had hoped.

EDIT: Forgot to add- your rifle's wound % may or may not be related to the chances of the bleed popping up. It has been theorized, but I've not yet seen it proven.

Heh I don't even solo high end mobs right now...

I'm just hoping our correspondent sees this and puts it through to the people in charge...we all know that even if you use Conceal Shot, enemies can quite easily detect and come after you...this random bleeding is not necessary. Shots should work as intended...if I want to bleed the mob, I'll use a bleed shot.

Wound chance, huh? Hmm...maybe I'll look for rifles with that stat minimized. A high wound chance doesn't seem to be that useful in either PvP or PvE

Well, I was soloing a Tusken Executioner with Conceal Shot and every so often he developed a bleed. I think its only fair that this occur since Conceal Shot is so effective on Mobs. I don't think there are any other professions with a similar ranged attack.

I had this happen a few times. Mainly when I took on the Observer. Again crap loot, but at least make the bleed do substantial damage instead of teh 1-3 I always seem to get. I wouldn't mind it if it actually helped.

The bleed is a good thing. Otherwise any rifleman could solo just about anything with a lopping macro, while afk. Its far too easy as it is.
