Thread: Question about kd/dizzy/posture

Bear with me, as I dont have the game open and names of shots seems to fade away...

While at the Fort, I was playing around with some of my shots (rifle).

First, I would dizzy the target (Tusken, 2 legs). FlurryShot?

Then I would make him kneel. Now, since he was shooting at me, he stayed kneeling.

So, I would stand him up again. StartleShot?

Now, this should make him fall down. He is dizzy, he was posture changed, twice. First one didn't make him fall, second one didn't make him fall. What is going on? I tried this in various ways, always the same result. While he was in ranged attack mode, no fall down.

If I walked up to him and gave him a dizzy/KD (TKA), he fell down, and flopped about for a few. If I was ranged and he was tied up with a different melee, then I could dizzy him, posture change him, and he would fall down.

This seems wrong.

Yeah, if you force your target to get up when dizzy it does't count for the flop.

Ok, got it. He has to want to fall down, in order to fall down.

This is a nice benefit to being ranged. Someone dizzies you, then puts you on your knees, no big deal, you just keep firing. Melee, however, can't fight from their knees, so down you go.

Flurryshot2 does do dizzy state, but it's USELESS!!! It isn't 1/1millionth as powerful as the TKA Dizzy you mentioned (as a matter of fact it's not strong enough to affect Durnis..........lol).

If the Tusken went to kneeling, it's because he wanted to. Riflemen have no posture down attacks, they're all posture up (make them a bigger target).

The posture down attack is SuppressionFire 1 from the Marksman tree. The problem is that for us to execute a Dizzy/KD, the target has to willingly change posture. So next time, try this: Dizzy+Suppress+move away (64+ meters). When he gets up to chase you, he'll flop

EDIT: Flurryshot 2 is a bit weaker than a TKA's Dizzy in my experience, but ours is AoE which balances it out

I don't know why you think the tka dizzy is better than the rifle one. I never have a problem getting the dizzy to stick when I use my e-11 experimented for accuracy. Hell, sometimes it even sticks when the fencers dodge my shot . Its much easier to dizzy them before they get into melee range then use your melee to knock them down while they are trying to dizzy then lunge you. And the tka knockdown is awsome, but don't start spamming it because you will hit so fast you will knock them down and then knock them down a second time resulting in a knockdown to the standing position.
