Well, this probablybelongs tothe noob question section

In brief, which one is better? 2/1/3/1 or 1/1/3/2? I've used up my skill points on non-combat trees and have to make a decision.

Some say Rifle Abilities 2, which speeds up the trigger pulling,is better, for the accuracy gained via Sniping 2 isn't very helpful to those who do a lot of /flushingshot2.

On the other hand, higher accuracy, high chances of survival. If you believe /concealshot is a rifleperson's best friend, you know what I'm talking about.

Any information/opinion is highly appreciated.

Just remember that Sniping 2 gives you headshot3 which you may be able to use and +15 to Accuracy. You could get the equivelant of Abilities 2 through +10 in tapes. It may be expensive but it is an option.

On the other hand if you are not going to use headshot 3 at all maybe you should get Abilities for the speed. A +15 Accuracy tape is probably going to be cheaper than the speed tapes.

Personally I love being Master and having the ability to fire at the speed cap!!

Normally, you always want to go for speed with rifles because rifles are naturally slow. However, you are talking about only a 10% difference in speed between the builds. You will be firing Flushingshot2 with a typical 7 second speed T21 at around 10.9 seconds per shot with x x x 1 vs. 9.1 seconds per shot at x x x 2. That is a difference of 1.8 seconds per shot. However, Flushingshot2 is an area effect shot. While it does mean that you will be doing more damage by hitting more creatures at once, do you really want to be aggroing a lot of creatures when you are firing that shot at 9.1 second intervals? And if you do aggro a big group, is 1.8 seconds more going to really be that noticable at that speed? At that speed, you are probably going to want to concentrate more on single targets rather than aggroing a lot of creatures at once. Flushingshot2 will still be useful when there is more than one creature aggroed, but it will not be your staple shot at this level.

Since you are not going to be trying to master, I think you will be better off going with the 2 1 3 1 build. That will not only give you a bit more accuracy, but it will give you Headshot3, which is a 3x damage, targeted pool shot, with a 2.0x delay. That same T21 will fire that shot at 8.4 seconds per shot. Being that it is a targeted pool shot, you will not be spreading the damage out over multiple pools, and since you will be firing it faster than Flushingshot2 (even with the extra speed at x x x 2), you will be able to kill individual targets faster with Headshot3 than with Flushing2 at the higher speed.

As I said, the speed difference is there, but it is not significant.enough at this level.to be the deciding factor. I would go with Headshot3 personally. Besides, you can cut the speed better bygetting speed sliced weapons and using 33% speed powerups.

neither of those builds is particularly good, rifle is painfully bad with low speeds even if you have flushing2. if you pvp, get 4004 for snipershot, hs3, and max speed, if you pve, get 1034 or 0134 for flushing2 and max speed.
