Thread: should i wear armor

i have access to a lot of armor, different types too but i never wear any armor aside from some the boots thati wear for style. also from time to time i use this ubese jacket just to lower some kinetic damage i take while running away. i like it cause its not heavy like the others.
should i wear armor? do you wear armor? are you one of those people who are always buffed just to wear your armor?

well, if you are gonna work as a support profession you don't need armor... that means you need a few tanks to take care of all the aggroes.
If you are gonna play in smaller groups or solo. OR if you are gonna try your hands on any of the more higher lvl content you need to get buffs and armor...

Gave into the trend of 400/400/400 health, 400/400/400 action, 1100/1100/800 mind stats about 5 months ago. Since then, walking in front of a crazed durni is dangerous without buffs and armor. It's the whole mentality of wanting to compete at the highest level - the game has crazy buffs and armor so we (I) feel obligated to use them in order to compete. I still have fond memories of wandering Endor with no buffs, no armor, and just a T21.

It all depends on how you fight. Personally, I use conceal shot and brandy. no buffs, no armor. It's slower than buffed to the gills stand-up and strafe shot. but I almost never have anything hit me anyways, so no bf, no wounds, no broken armor to replace.
It's fun to snipe a jedi that wipes the floor w/ others, and not take a single point of damage, though it drives others insane for being slow/boring

Hi,
Just for a record, Janta/Mokks can hit you for 2000-3000 damage using melee special if you are not armored. ... I would keep a set handy.

personally i agree with sudsin i just carry a crap load of brandy with me of all those mind consuming speical attacks.
i would just get armor if u were big into pvp'ing

Depends on your template. Rifleman/Rangers and Rifleman/CHs particularly don't need armor -- but I think other templates could justify its need. Don't forget about Chitin, too -- that has really good mind enc and (when crafted right) good kinetic resists for hunting.
I only wear armor for pvp or high end pve content, like the DWB. In anything else armor is really too bothersome (Enraged Rancors can be a bit tricky, though, lol).
