Thread: No need to be master marksman?
So the new changes they make with the speed cap of 3 secs per all rifles will officially negate the reasons to be both master marksman and master rifleman right?
There was a post that had the math saying that with both master marksman and master rifleman an 8 sec firing rate will be lowered to around 1.6 domthing. Without only master rifleman the firing rate on an 8 sec rifle would be around 2.6
So does that mean the only use for master marksmen and master riflmen to be the main proffessions of someone will only be useful to people who have incredibly slow guns, with the new 3 sec rifle cap then both the delays hafta be nerfed.

Since SLs use Mind for thier abilities. I'm willing to bet that taking that mind heal tree is only going to hinder you. As it is I'm having a hard time deciding whether to give up my broken SL or my broken RM prof cause I can litterally kill myself using my abilities.
Remember kids, a mind is a terrible thing to taste.
Due to my spec, I might not give up master marksman even with the speed cap, because it provides me with +9 ranged defense (2 from pistol4, 2 from carbine4, 5 from master). I need support and rifle anyway, and I can't buy a better line with the points I could save from not being master marksman (34). TKA precision would be the only skill which might be more useful, but thatt would require 49 points, which I can't afford due to my master SL abilities.
True it is viable for certain templates, but as a general rule of thumb it is not that good anymore.
As you have SL a quick question, does the +ranged defence in the SL tree work if you are not grouped?
I was thinking if they put some form of mind heal in the SL tree it might be worth taking the +ranged defence tree and the mind heal tree.
