Hi there,

I posted a message earlier, which seems to have been erased by someone..

I was asking for a petition to see how many Rifleman were currently happy with the state of our Profession since Aldeon has taken up position as our correspondant to the Devs.

Now I am not a idoit/newb/hater whatever ... Ive been playing this game for awhile now, and i am a True rifleman, just about to hit master this week....ive been around the block done tons of PvP and PvE...know a lot about the Profession and am constantly shocked at how weak they are making us.

Anyways Adleon is to blame for the Rifleman's profession's landslide into pure sh it...he hasnt been doing his job and letting the DEVS know, how sorry of a situation this class is in.

I asked for him to be removed earlier, and the post was removed.

Now you may say Aldeon is great ! its not his fault its the devs...but unfortunately, its quite obivous the devs ARE NOT GETTING THE MSG, Lets look at Commando professions it was in quite hurting shape, until there outstanding Correspondants really hammered away and got them the fixes they need there correspondant did wonders for there profession ...that is just merely a example of what the correspondant was created for..

A lot of profession correspdants have been doing many positive things for there community, ours on the other hand...well look at the last few months... LOOK at our profession now...we are completely broken compared to any other combat class..

Anyways, i was just curious to see if anyone else shared my opinion that perhaps we should seek out and see if we have anyone who is actualy up for the job...

That is all...i didnt take very much time to write this up..because im sure its going to get deleted by Aldeon again..

You are obviously out of your mind. Aldeon is ONLY a correspondent. He can bring our views and opinions about the class needs to devs. Thats devs who are choosing what to do or what to postpone. Only what he can do is repeat and repeat and maybe beg and beg(no begging, we are riflemans, right :smileywink. Dont accuse him for something he cant change. Fakt is that commandos need that fix BADLY since they were most broken combat class. I am not sure about BHs(dont like them, no secret).

Ummm first off the thread wasn't deleted it was bumped down to another page. other posts were more recent and so it went down and down the line until sumone bumps it its going to stay there. Quite your conspiracy implications.

Secondly Aldeon is a great corrospondent. Why you think its his fault the Devs are whacked is beyond me. Aldeon is one of the most articulate and hard working Correspondents out there. I have been to several other forums and seen what their correspondents post and only Aldeon uses facts and presents them in an A professional manner.

Face the facts, becaus Devs don't. Its Not Aldeons fault were being screwed. You can have anyone screaming at the top of their lungs with a megaphone but if the Devs don't listen then thats that. Its Not Aldeons fault they don't listen to us. You can't make someone listen to you who is dead set against it.

Have you been to the SWG discussion forums? Have you seen Aldeons posts in there? Have you been paying attention to what he HAS been doing? He is there, and hes trying. Hes being ignored. No one could have done his thankless job any better. Its simply not his fault were getting screwed.

I wont support the attempt to get a new correspondent.

Aldeon is doing a great job in my opinion and your post is of little help DarkenRahl85. And its extremely easy to be critical of someone and bring up half baked effort to support your case.

Personly i think Aldeon is doing a fine job representing the rifleman community and his efforts are sorely wasted on people who expect him to bash down the doors of devs demanding at gun point for this and this to be done.

It doesnt work that way only thing he can do is project the opinions of rifleman community he cannot force the devs to make any changes.

Locking this thread would be a bad idea...

I personally feel that Aldeon is doing a good job (the data he provided to the devs convinced them about the problems we're having with super accurate pistols). But if people are dissatisifed with his performancefor whatever reason, they should be able to air their views, in rational and logical manner, and those who support aldeon can present their side of the story. This exchange of views is necessary in any political forum for progress to happen.

I personally feel that aldeon has done a good job of getting our problems across to the devs. The recemt designer posts in combat allude to most of the problems we have been experiencing, and they are acknowledged as problems. As for us being the most broken combat profession, from what I've seen fencers and Pikemen give us a run for our money...

This thread should only be locked if it degenerates into a flamewar

Okay you guys have the right to your own opinion...i for one am surprised..ive been a active member of this board/community for awhile...

I only started posting a lot more now cause im on the verge of cancelling my acct to go back to another game cause my current profession is broken..

I look at other correspodants making great progress with there professions...and then here just the continueing downward spiral...

I hope Aldeon doesnt take this personaly i just dont think he is making any progress....its been 2 months and nothing but down we have gone...

im starting to have my doubts that there is even anyone out there worthy of replacing him though...rifleman are becoming very scarce...i bet only 10 ppl at master or near it on my server...

Which professions are making massive gains? I can think of 2...(commando and bounty hunter).

The following professions seem to share our pain:

Carbineer, Pikeman, Fencer, Bio-engineer (feel sorry for them), droid engineer (really pity these guys), armoursmith (i quit because 1/4 of the tree was useless, another 1/4 was hideously weak and the ramining half required dull grinding to get), rangers (our trapping and wayfaring trees are largely pointless) come to mind immediately.

every profession has it's problems, all of those mentioned above have problems as serious as ours or worse, so I will continue to support aldeon, as I believe that through his efforts, our profession will be fixed sooner than if anyone else (including me) were to take his place.

From what I can tell SLs are also not doing too well.

Look Adleon needs our support, what do you think he is? I'll tell you, he is a shield to take the blame for the problems with our class. That is the reason they have correspondants, well PR also.

I look at alot of the boards and their Correspondants don't do half of what he does. Hell name me another Correspondant that posted such a critical post as he did on the SWG Discussion dealing with the lack of communication between correspondants and Dev's. The Dev's develop the game, correspondants play the game, analyze the game,and deflect blame from where it belongs.

We want changes well Adleon can't make em, only the Dev's can.

Oh and the only combat classes that aint broke are BH, pistoleer, CH, and commando. We aint alone, it's just that the larger classes will always come before us.

Speaking as one who was very leery of Aldeon in the beginning.

Your posts aren't deleted, they're rated at 1 star by enough people that they become invisible.

I was opposed to Aldeon previously because he talked too much about how awesome it was at Master Rifleman, as if that was the solution to all rifle problems.

Since then I think he's come around and seen that rifles have issues that aren't and shouldn't be cured just by reaching Master Rifleman, which a lot of people didn't intend to do anyway.

His latest posts and complaints to the devs have been much more in line with what we're all saying, so he's doing a fine job now as far as I'm concerned.

The fact that the devs never answer him isn't his fault. There's just way more pistoleers than there are riflemen. Squeeky wheel gets the grease.
