Thread: Minimum skill before I enter the GCW?
What do you guys think the minimum skill level someone should have before they go covert? Does it really matter? I mean, can I go covert, and not get attacked by rebels pretty much? Unless I heal an imp, or group with them right? Or if they have a covert scanner...
Just not sure if I should go imperial covert with minimum combat skills (i am just about master marksman, but no elite skills yet... Im a reformed smith!)
to join a faction u need 200 FP.. get them from doing little missions..
yes as long as your Cover they cant atk u and u cant atk them but the only problem is that if you get a TEF u cant tell if other ppl can see it hehe so just watch ya back ![]()
But if you wanted, try and get Counter-Sniping 3 for the AE attack, at least Rifle Spec 2 if not higher for some decent speed, and get mindshot2. Headshot3 isn't worth anything right not. You can get away with HS2.
You can start getting faction points from day 1.
I went Covert Imperial while on Rifles II (no other Marksman except Ranged Support). Sure I got killed a few times, but thats gonna happen no matter what skill lvl you are.
Though I played around with being Overt (usually declare when raiding, or being raided) I'm still covert at Apprentace Sharpshooter (getting 1-hitted by Rebels is embarrassing. Not that they are uber or anything, but the 2.5 damage modifier just makes it too easy for them.)
Spam bleed 2 2-3 times till it sticks, play the range game with them (duck out of the 64m range, but keep as close to it as you can), let the bleed tick 2-3 times, go in for 2-3 headshots and target is down. This is on a good day.
You can get one shotted by a Commando, or BH can Eyeshot you (er wait, isn't doing mind damage a rifleman ability - I mean, that is why we are so SCREWED in everything else right? because we get his nifty ability unique to us?) and help you kill yerself. Most cat-type pets will run you down and beat the crap out of you while you try to shoot the master (think2.5x melee damage bonus while wielding your rifle). You can double KO with a CM who mind-dots you... If you are lucky and a Sniper, you might even get the DB, but otherwise it's unlikely. Let's see what else.... I suppose it depends what other skills you have. I started PvP with only 2-0-0-0, but as a Master Ranger and a CH using a Bloodseeker Mite.
Best thing about the bleed attack, 95% of those you encounter can't heal it. Those that survive you to burst run away - don't even bother to waste your burst run to follow them - they are dead. Just head out in the direction you see them going. You will catch up to an incapped body, ripe for a DB. If you get a mindbleed on you and can't heal it, run to the med center, NOT out to BFE where you will die =p
If you want to kill anything that crosses your path, forget it, not gonna happen. Har.
