ok after dabbling in pistoleer I am kind of getting bored with the basic attacks we can do. Nothing real special. I think it would be cool to be a rifleman and incap people then kill them without even showing up on radar.

I was wondering which of the attacks are broken and I have read the rifleman tips thread a few lines down from mine (or up from this thread depending if I get responded to). but it didnt go into great detail about exactly which attacks work well and which ones are broken. any help would be apreciated.

Seriously nobody "goes" rifleman. It's not a smart move. All the riflemen you see currently started the class not knowing what was in store and don't want to see the time investment in rifle's (which is a lot btw) go to waste.

If you have no ties to this profession, maybe 1 or 2 skill boxes, get out while you can. There is nothing for you here.

I agree with that noone knew we were gonna get so royally screwed every single month. ( I would go out on a limb and say more than any other class) If you have any self respect dont go rifleman unless of course you want to be the only one so people can point and laugh at you.

Well, riflemen show up on radar like everyone. We have a concealment line that looks like you are hidden, but, you are not. We have a shot that they are not supposed to know which way the shot came from, but, this only works on mobs and only if they do not have baf.

Riflemen are not a horrid class, it is just you can do anything a rifleman can better in another class. Commando is better at bleed type stuff then we are. So is BH. So what's left? Nothing really. Two best combat classes are Commando then BH.

The only reason im rifleman was because I obtained it after 3 days of straight playtime after I bought the game... than I realized we suck. Figures. (im not about to retire it)

There are days when i walk by a pistoleer ..or a BH..or a commando..or even a caribineer..

And say..why coudnt i have picked a class that wasnt going to be broken...this game looks like a lot of fun for them....

BH or Commando is the only way to go now. Pistoleer is ok, especially if you supplement with bh pistol and get eyeshot. It seems like rifleman and carbineer just get no love whatsoever from the devs. Rifleman has some serious issues that appear to be affecting its usability (can't speak from experience but reading around paints a dismal picture). Carbineer is also completely broken. All of the carbineer skills are broken except 2.

I agree with the above nobody 'goes' rifleman unless you enjoy being frustrated, sniped knockdown from long range by a pistol user and then eye shot over and over till you die before you can get a shot off.

if that is your idea of fun, Rifleman is for you!

The only time Rifleman is ever rewarding is if you're master. At master however, you'll come across many problems. The first being the heavy mind costs of rifles. The second is the whining from many other classes that you do way too much damage and need to be nerfed. But no one will ever feel your pain of getting there, and the constant pain of being there. If you can live with that, then Rifleman is for you. The benefit is only BH and Commandos could outdamage me, but they have to get into melee range to do that.
