Thread: Change to cover?

Not sure if this was already posted but I tried to use "take cover" tonight and it seemed to work without freezing my character. The bug where if you had any ranger skills and took cover you could not walk until you had logged in and out twice. It looks like this has been fixed, could someone else try it? Youneed to be novice ranger to really test this.

Taking cover and killing something still reduces me to walk speed.. tried it just a minute ago.

You know, I've never had this problem. Do you have /takecover assigned to a second row, so you have to hit shift to use it?


I still sometimes have a problem with shift-hotkeys forcing me to a walk as if my shift key got stuck. I have /takecover mapped to a top row key and never have any problem with it.



...aside from it's horrible failure rate, even though I have all 4 boxes of the +cover branch.

ive had the problem of hitting my take cover button and diving to cover, and then not being able to use my rifle skills. i get the message you can not use that skill with this weapon or sumtin, and stuff.


i get around it by going prone first, then using cover and conceal shot.

Every time i take cover, i warp back 20 or so meters. This sucks because I take cover at around 60 meters. Until the "going prone / take cover teleport" bug is resolved, I no longer use the take cover ability. So if the Devs what us to use it, they need to fix this bug.

You do the dive take cover and then it says you cannot perform a certain skill while tumbling.

Yup.. real useful.
