Thread: One aspect of the patch I haven't seen mentioned yet

As a 2/2/3/2 Rifleman, my MeleeD jumped from +2 to +22 with the patch. And I'm getting hit noticeably less often. I stood toe-to-toe with a Roba earlier and he missed me several times in a row.

Then he incapped me, of course, because my point blank accuracy is teh suxx0r, but it took longer than it usually does.

I would liketo know how good block is since the patch.


I havn't been playing my rifleman much at all because my PA has just moved to the EU servers so I don't knowif the increase is noticeable or not.


I miss my laser rifle.

I believe SL has MRM + TKA + R defence from somewhere else, maybe fencer? I could be wrong but I think he used to have MRM and said somewhere about mastering TKA.


The point is that defences DO work, although I didn't notice any blocks in there, but that could be because there were so few shots that would have been hits.

The point was to show that the patch has made more templates usefull. You should from this point on see more defense type templates. The reason this matters to Rifleman? Rifleman is a key profession in making a highly effective defensive template.

Oh also it wouldnt have mattered what I used to damage the AT-ST, I could have just as easily used my T21, actually it would have been better, but I wanted to see if I could KD/dizzy the AT-ST. The weapon I chose to use wouldnt have changed the misses one bit, and the damage I did that from 2 hits would have been exactly the same with a rifle or unarmed so...

Ditto. People charge you to get inside your rifle's effective range, and look so endearingly surprised when you whomp them.


Perhaps worth noting also that master pike and master fencers seem to have no trouble hitting me still.

Rifle-TKA also lets you play mind games on opponents in pvp.


You want them to stay away from you? Put the master TK title on.


You want them to close? Put up master rifle.



Without bio enhanced clothing or armor,I have a 104 melee and 123 ranged defense. I may or may not stack another profession set with these.


One other option to remember is you can use fencer to increase blind defense as well.
