Now that aiming is higher and conceal works, what is the best way to go? Still 1/0/3/1-4 depdning on comabt xp, or should i go 1/1/1/1-4, or 4/1/1/whatever or what? Just looking for an informed opinion, or just a lucky guess. Either one works

I don't see the utility of an AE... unless it kills in two shots, the monsters have caught up to you and are gnawing on your intestines. At least, with Exploration IV, I have never been able to outrun anything for very long. And I have no pet (despite the fact this ~is~ Pet Wars) to take the heat...

With Conceal Shot, at least, I never ~get~ hit... unless it fails, of course, but as soon as it fails, I'm at 64m anyway, so I hike up my skirts and RUN. Still get incap'd some times (critters are -fast-) but that's the risk. Sure, Conceal Shot is slow, but it's FINALLY a sniper's move and I love it.

Mate i would suggest you actually go out and groupd with some ppl then. Let me put it the way, a rancor or two (could be any high level pet) in your hunting group is whacking a lair and keeping the critters agro'd, now you come along and spam FS2 and hit them all for ~1-2k damage per hit, if you dont see the value in this then I am afraid you ahve chosen the wrong class.

Oh and my current best is hitting six creatures for 2200 each (approx,it varies between them tho bu tthe highest no i read was 2200 :smileyhappy.

Well, that's the catch right there: having several giant rancors to hold aggro. Sure, in THOSE circumstances, an AE would be handy (especially if it hit random pools). But that's not being a sniper.

the different moves have their places. i find conceal shot invaluable for clearing out all the parents and leaving just a baby monster. thing is that if you get a critical fail on taming the baby will attack and once you auto defend the parents will attack. conceal shot lets me remove the parents and tame in peace.

AE attacks are fantastic for taking out large groups quickly. the dizzy states and posture up attacks work very well against ranged NPC as do the defenses. if only we had some sort of KD move that worked.

My suggestion. If you miss a couple conceal shots and the critters come after you, do the following:

1. Hit the macro that puts your armor on.

2. Remove the rifle from your hands.

3. Burst run.

4. Hit the macro that heals you.

I usually only get incapped if I forget to follow these steps. (Like kneeling there thinking I can get that one shot off that will kill the critter before he incaps me.)

Thought to self - create runaway macro that does this for me.

AoE attack came in handy last night. 2 groups of voritor lizards spawned next to each other while I was running around. They immediately started attacking each other. I knelt down and fired my AoE shot into them as fast as I could (while downing my muon gold). Netted a good 30k xp in 2-3 minutes. None of them ever even looked at me.

How tough should a pet be to be "a tough pet"?

All I've got handy are Stormtroopers and/or non-CH pets. Any recommendations?
