Somethingthat just crystalized for me as I was participating in a discussion of how soloing is MUCH bettercash than grouping (if you can solo the tough stuff).


If I kill via mind damage, my pets seem to take NONE of my xp. (so 3k rifle xp for the more favored targets.) If I group with a non-rifleman, he's going to take 80% of the combat xp, even if I'm still taking the target down via mind damage. (I grouped with a carbineer, he was getting 4x the xp I was, and I was the one taking down the target).


Personally, I think there's a bug in the xp allocation. I think they allocate the xp based on RAW damage, before armor and resist reduction. I use a T21 and MASSIVE bleeds. So I take down the target, but he gets the xp because he pounded on the armor / resists a LOT more than I did.


Note, this was when I was 3/0/2/2 in Rifleman. I'm a zabrak who uses Muon Gold when it gets harry. So I actually use Headshot 3 more than Headshot 2, and I use a pre-nerf T21 to land very nice bleeds.


If the correspondents can still use the xp terminals, is there any way you and the carbineer correspondent could surrender some of your blocks on test and see if this is truely the case?

actually, you get no exp for bleed kills. If you are hunting with another player, using random HAM attacks will give you equal or better exp than the others in the group. Attacking the mind while everyone else attacks other hams is a losing proposition.

There is no such thing as a pure bleed kill now. A bleed CAN'T kill / incap a target as of this last major patch. Which majorly sucks, I've had targets that should be at -3000 mind leasurly wander over and death-blow me.


But if we bleed then chain head-shot 3, we SHOULD get the xp. I do when I outdamage my pet, but not when I outdamage a player, or so it seems to me.

Well Commandos still can with their flamethrowers. I know, one got me that way 2 nights ago. And let me incap 3 times just so I'd have max possible wounds too.
