Anyways, I cannot seem to get Mindshot 1 to work. When I drag it from the macro window to my quickbar and hover my mouse over it, it says 'mindShot1' but when I use it the combat message says I'm using Distracting shot.

I've tried creating a macro from scratch with the same results, anyone have any clue?

And yes, I do qualify for it.

Don't worry about it. That is the message that comes up when you use Mind Shot 1. When you have Mind Shot 2 it says Mind Bender or somthing Similar. If you think it is not working, Trust me it is.

When you hit and it tells you how much damage it won't appear straight away. When the next Tick occurs that amount will be removed from their Mind Pool. Each tick there after that amount will be removed for 2 mins.

The message is exactly same for all of us, and it has bleed effect, mind dot.So, just use it like the rest of us despite the message.

Sweet, thanks man. Would you happen to know how often the tick happens because I have yet to see a 'tick' message appear in my combat log after using mindShot1, or do they even appear? I see the initial damage but then nothing, only my follow-up headshots.

I'm not sure as to the exact timing maybe someone else knows.

As for the messages you do not see them. What you will see is that every few seconds there will be an animation above the victim. I think it is supposed to be blood falling on them. At this time the Damage amount will appear rising from them. That amount will then be removed from their mind pool. This will happen each "Tick"
