Thread: Rifleman against a Pistoleer. I need some advice

Ok, it seems like Pistoleers are uber to me. Either i get knockeddown and then they spam some kind of shot where i die without myself being able to even shoot back. If i do get the first shot off it seems like there's nothing i can have to stop them before they knockme down again and finsih me off. Sort of really pisses me off. Headshot 3 is worthless now because they shoot so fast and can hit me just as well at 60 meters out that they end up doing more damage to me. Could use some tips people.

Well from reading master riflemans posts, getting to masterhelpsa lot. Apart from that these are what I can think of:


1) Use doctor/spice/food buffs, whatever you can lay your hands on.


2) Use armour depending on what gun they are using, if you are fighting someone using a scout pistol armour will stop 50% of the damage.


3) Double bleed them then burst run away till they drop.


4) Go post on the T21 fix thread, then buy one.


5) Group if you can, groups help alot.


Or reroll as a Pistol/BH pistol superhero.


If all else fails buy 3 AT STs.

Once you get master rifleman you can fire a t21 at about 2 second speed.


Personally my favorite weopon of choice "since the 75% dmg reduction" is a good old dlt20a. The one im using now is about 5 spd 190-240 dmg. I can fire headshots as fast a pistol with the master rifleman speed increase. The ham cost is only about 58 per for me and i hit for 200-400 each shot. I still use a t21 and open with mindshot2 then I switch to a dlt20a and do headshots.


Another tip that helps alot with fighting pistoleers is getting doctor buffs.They can buff you up to 2k plus health and action,since you can't buff the mind poolThis really puts the odds in your favor they have to do 2000 dmg to kill you while you only have to do 700ish mind dmg. Also invest some points in medic and up tofirst aid 4, If you get stim bs made by a master doctor you can heal your action/health by up to 800 or so per stim. Again a pure pistoleer can't heal your dmg but you can heal his.



As far as knockdowns go, I am a master CH. CH is the only way I have found to get around knockdowns in a 1 on 1 situation "faction pets could work as well". I have my gurreck guard me so as soon as the guy tries to attack/knock me down the gurreck will attack him. Since pets do full dmg in pvp he won't beable to stand there and chain knockdown me w/omy pet killing him. I really think rifleman/ch is a great combo the pets make up for the lack of knockdowns and they also can protect you from taking all the melee dmg.

Shameless plug for BEs. . . check out the Bolma for PVP. Dizzy and posture change attack. Great energy resist. Problem is you need to be engaing the enemy to call your pets. . . but you can call them while knocked down, or just use guard.


And yeah, Rifle CH is a great combo.
