Hmmm...traditionally it means "area of effect", which means it can affect more than one target, but that may not be correct here.

What is the context? Is it in a skill description?

I saw it used alot in the rifleman tips thread.

It does cone damage, so it will damage in a radius, we have the largest radius. I think its something like 15-20 meter radius from the initial target. Maybe larger, it is huge however.
